I am determined to get good deals for the holidays. Both Thanksgiving cooking and Christmas can break me! Not this year.

I know what you mean! I’ve been grabbing deals like they are going extinct! I just grabbed the free 100 post card deal from Staples. I designed my own thank you cards, refused the envelopes and extras and had no other choice but to pay for priority or express shipping. Priority is $9.95, not bad for 100 cards, especially when I’m saving $16 in postage. I made the cards black n white in order to color in whatever colors I choose to save on ink. This way they are somewhat homemade and personalized for the person I send them too!

Thanks so much for posting the blocks deal, have been looking for a nice set for my one year old’s christmas present! Can’t wait for them to arrive! He is going to love them…

Loved the JC Penney deals! Went there today and was able to get
    3 kids winter coats
    4 pairs of girls leggings
    1 pair girls jeans
    4 kids shirts
    16 washcloths (two 8 packs..much needed!)
and a reuseable bag (I was just short of $25 on that transaction)
All for $100.92….the best part was my mother-in-law offered to pay for two of the transactions!!!

The blocks are great. I bought them last year from Amazon for around $35 and thought they were a steal at that! They are the same size and quality as the other much more expensive sets you see in preschools!!

  • Two Makes Four November 06, 2011 at 10:25 pm

Thank you SO much for posting the blocks deal!! I couldn’t believe the price. My local mom-and-pop toy store sells them for $60 A PIECE. I have three kids, so this was a major savings! BTW, not sure if it happened for anyone else, but I paid $7.99 in shipping, not $5.99. Still, amazing price. Thanks again.

I noticed on the email confirmation for the blocks order that the color is “multi.” I HOPE that is a typo since the product page specified in picture and description that it was “natural.” We’ll have to see. I took a screenshot just in case.

    • Meredith November 07, 2011 at 03:00 pm

I called today and turns out we really will be getting the nice natural finish blocks. We were lucky though, he said they made an error in the price listing (they meant to list them for 59.99). So lucky us! The product isn’t even visible at their site right now as far as I can tell.

Did he say that you would still get two sets? My sister ordered these and only one set arrived. She called and they said since it was a price error she would only get one set. thanks!

  • Maegen November 07, 2011 at 01:57 am

I’m getting more and more skeptical about the block deal, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

  • Cindy November 07, 2011 at 10:07 am

i found it (jcp coup in an email they sent me good thru today)

  • Kellie November 10, 2011 at 12:35 pm

I ordered the blocks along with some other M&D toys for my kids and just got an email stating the blocks were no longer available and my money would be refunded :( I’m really bummed about it.

  • Kat November 11, 2011 at 12:02 pm

Hey, my sister ordered the blocks and only received one set. She called to make sure the other one was still on the way. They had to look into it and call her back. She just got a message that this was a price error so they are only sending the one box. She would have to pay $59.99 for two sets. This doesn’t seem right to me, it was their error! Has anyone else had a problem?

    • Maegen November 11, 2011 at 01:17 pm

I’ve read that some people have gotten half their money back.

I’m not sure what to do. I probably wouldn’t have purchased just one set for 24.00, but I know it’s still half price.
