If you’re a mom of young children who is feeling discouraged in your mothering today, I wrote a post over on MomLife that I hope might be an encouragement to you. At least I know that I need to hear this message often. :)

Don’t we all need this reminder every now and then? We can all use the encouragement of other moms when we are feeling frustrated and feel as though we are just speaking and no one is listening. Thank you for the reminder and encouragement Crystal!

What a great reminder that slow and steady wins the race; even when it comes to raising our children!

Great article…and even reminds me that I shouldn’t give up on running even though I suck at it!!!

Thanks, Crystal, for the great post. I sent the kids to nap and bed yesterday an hour early because my eye started twitching from repeating myself so many times. Congratulations on running! I hope to follow in your footsteps someday!

Great post. Thanks for sharing. It’s so true. As someone recently said to me, you have to crawl before you can walk. ;-)

Thanks for this reminder. I ask my husband numerous times a year regarding our 3 beautiful children – “they will get ‘it’ eventually, won’t they?” I love the Proverbs reminder as well. We just need to keep training our children daily. As I stumble and fall throughout life I often wonder if God is saying the same thing about me “she will get ‘it’ eventually, won’t she?” So thankful He’s a God of abundant grace and LOTS of patience!

One thing I try to do when I am discouraged with my children is to try and sit back and not say much or anything at all. It is amazing how much I learn how much my children really have learned when I step out of the picture a little more. It is such a gift to see my children helping each other, teaching each other, and being compassionate towards each other. It is a reminder that “banging my head against the wall” isn’t all in vain! :)
