So true!
That’s exactly where I am with my parenting right now. Special needs child.
That’s exactly where I’m at with my job. I can’t stand it, have to get a major push to get up and DO it each day.
Wish there was some “discipline” pill I could take each morning.
One of the most helpful things I’ve been told when it comes to disciplined parenting: “When you don’t know what to do next, just do the next thing.” I thought it was kind of an odd statement at first, but then I realized, one of the main things that keeps me from doing what I should, is that sense of being overwhelmed. It has really helped me out in the discipline arena that when I get tired and frazzled, I need to stop fretting about the whole picture and just focus my whole attention on the next thing.
Love it….I’m making a copy for my 15 yr old daughter
Of course I had to stumble upon this right now…when I want to veg out on the computer, but I need to fold laundry.
I’m going, I’m going…
I need to write this down and pin it up. Maybe “Discipline” is the word I need to frame, like someone mentioned in your kitchen post comments. I have really been slacking off lately, and it doesn’t feel good!
Very good quote. I like it.
This is not what I wanted to hear right now — which means it was probably a good time to post it!
