All You magazine: A few subscription deals

My friend, Marli, has all the details about how you can get a 2-year subscription to All You magazine for only $18! That’s $9 per year, folks, and a great price for this magazine that is jam-packed with coupons. Be sure to check it out here.

Also, Sheena emailed in with this deal:

Magazines.com has a 12-issue
subscription to All You for $19.97. If any of your readers use
Live.com’s Cashback service, they are currently offering 62.5% back for
purchases at Magazines.com, which comes out to $7.49 for a subscription
once you get the cash back.

12 issues for $7.49 is about $0.62-$0.63 per
issue, compared to $1.97 at Walmart. Granted, you have to wait to get
the cashback, but I’ve never had issues. (Live.com says that it should
show up in a week, if it hasn’t contact them–I’ve had to do that once,
and they added it right away).

One thing to watch out for is that there is an Automatic Renewal
service. You have to go in and see if that has been added to your
order, once it’s been processed.

I’m unfamiliar with Live.com’s CashBack service. Does anyone out there have experience with it–good or bad? Would you recommend doing the above deal?

I just got it for $16 for 12 issues. Not the BEST deal, but it was a fundraiser through my kid’s school, so not too bad… anyone need a subscription? :)

I had a horrible experience with the live cashback. I did it exactly how i was supposed to and since my cashback wasn’t over $5 i didn’t automatically get it. I will NEVER use it again. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a positive experience.

I am going to pay $13 for a one year sub, but that’s for a fundraiser at my kids’ school. I usually don’t want the overpriced junk from the fundraiser, but I figured this is one that will pay for itself. So even though I could get a better deal… I figure it’s worth a few bucks to help out the school.

I haven’t heard of this program, but I have been getting my All You subscription through my son’s school fundraiser for the past several years. It is time for me to renew, and I will be doing that again. A 2-year subscription (24 issues) is $20 and a 3-year subscription is $30. You buy the magazine “voucher” then when you get it, you fill it out with your choice of magazine and mail it off.

If anyone is interested, I will be glad to send you the link to order online. Nancy Wike at yahoo dot com (no spaces). His fundraiser ends on Friday, September 12, though.

As others have commented, don’t forget to check those school fundraisers. I’m actually getting it from a co-worker for her daughter’s school for $20/2 years — which is almost as good as the online deal above.

thanks Crystal! :) If you do order through my site, be sure not to check the option to direct ship your order which adds a $10 shipping fee–this is mean for Southern Living at HOME product and is not necessary for magazines! When you check out it will say $19.95, I will adjust it after submitted b/c the discount is from me personally not southern living at home — Your card will be charged $18 flat…no shipping/tax.
Be sure to visit my blog for directions on how to order and other ordering concerns! Thanks everyone!

I just ordered, going through Ebates first to get my 26% cashback…

I just went to Live.com and it said I would get 25% cash back for that magazine, not the 62.5% it showed on their main page.

Anyone know what you have to do to get the 62.5%?

From the Cash back website–
Magazines.com (25.00%)

I only see 25% off of magazine.com…. Makes the deal not as good…

I think you have to reach a $10 threshold with live cashback. And wait 60 days for the cash back. Just be sure not to pay with paypal because there are no guarantees it will work, and that’s what I did and I didn’t get my cash back.

I did the Live Cashback last night and did get a $12ish rebate making the sub $7ish. They have the money in an account ready to send me a check so it looks great on my end!!! Would do it again. Looks like they lowered the rebate since last night. Probably constantly changing…

Thanks Marli! I just ordered mine!

I have used the Live Cash Back on other sites including eBay and paid with PayPal and did not have any problems. All of the transactions I have done have shown up in my Live account within 24 hours. In my account it shows how long I have to wait to claim the money (this is a feature in place to make sure you don’t return the items).

The percentages back change on a regular basis. Keep checking if it has dropped to a lower % off. I don’t know how they decide but it does change constantly.

I have heard several others say that they have had problems with the Live Cash back. So I try to NOT use it unless I would have bought the item anyway – without the cash back. Then if it works it is a bonus. Hope this helps someone.

I used magazines.com to subscribe to Family Circle and NEVER received an issue. I also was never able to get ahold of anyone regarding the missing mag. Luckily, I was only out $9

I didn’t get my 62.5% back and it’s been over a week – how do I contact live.com?

16 Kathie September 4, 2008 at 7:15 am

drats! If only i had waited. I JUST mailed my little postcard from inside the magazine to subscribe yesterday. :( I could have soooooo gotten a better deal here.

I just asked my mom for this magazine as a birthday present. She didn’t get the best deal but it was still free to me and she was happy to get me something I wanted!

Didn’t see that Crystal chose someone from Southern Living At Home for the site! Great! Didn’t me to step on toes. :)

19 Robyn September 4, 2008 at 11:57 am

I bought a 2 year subscription through a Southern Living party for only $19.99!

Also remember if you are the kind that wants to help out, the Girl Scouts in our area are doing a fall fundraiser with magazines and like above, 2 years for $20 and the troop earns 15% of that.

I think the 62.5% was part of a Labor Day promotion or something. The percentages have dropped on a lot of other stores too.

FWIW, I’m told All You generally catches it if you have multiple subscriptions under the same name and address (but not, in one example, two subscriptions going to the same address under different first and last names) and concatenates the time instead of sending duplicates. Some people would rather they did it the other way, some find this convenient, just passing on the hearsay. ;)

I work for a company that does the entries for subscriptions. Sometimes customers write in their own rate on the cards and we process them. Sometimes they are too low and we can’t put them through. If that is the case, we give them the lowest rate possible.
I don’t know what it is for All You…I’m guessing that $9 per year is the best deal on the market. I haven’t seen it for under $1.23 an issue.
Donor/gift subs are the cheapest way to go. Often there are inserts at the store, bogo subscription at an awfully cheap price. If you know someone else that wants it…you should go halves on it. It works. Whatever you do, when you mail in inserts, don’t give your email if you don’t want to be put on promotion lists. Our company does sell that info unless you initiall the back of the renewal stuff that is mailed to you.
One last thing, if you put the credit card info on it- the company stores it on computer and automatically renews you unless you request the cancellation. Pay check or money order if you don’t want this to happen. Just thought you should know. Hope this helps :) !

23 Marli September 4, 2008 at 10:08 pm

just to add to the last post–my promo is $9 per year only because I’m giving a 10% discount out of my personal income — Southern Living at Home, in case anyone doesn’t know, is a direct sales company–they offer home decor product and int he back of our catalog are books and some magazines, All You happened to be on of them which I know we all love. So I wanted to offer a great deal! Their price is $19.95/2 years, still 50% off cover price, little less than $10/year.

Thank you so much to everyone who has ordered! And thanks especially to Crystal for posting!
