We’ve been using a registered gift card for a while now. We like the perks, esp the free tall drink when you buy beans. I take advantage of getting free peppermint for my iced mocha.
That said, be careful because one is prone to spend more when you have to reload a gift card to get perks

I just sent in for the free $10 Starbucks card for buying 2 HP ink cartridges– now I can’t wait to get it so I can do this as well! This certainly makes me a little less grumpy about how expensive ink is!
I know shopping at Aldi’s works for many people, BUT I just thought Id share this: Kroger usually has their Private Selection organic milk at $2.79 per half gallon. Plus,they sell it in gallon jugs at $4.99 so that would be $2.50 per half gallon!
Thanks for the Starbucks tip. I just sent in for my HP Starbucks gift card and I also ordered one from MyPoints. I previously had a registered Starbucks card and after I had used it all, they reloaded it with $5. Unfortunately when I used it all the cashier kept the empty card so I was unable to use their $5 bonus.
