Preheat oven to 400º F.
In a small saucepan, melt 1 Tbsp coconut oil or butter over medium heat.
Add in diced apples and cook for 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt. Continue cooking until apples are caramelized and most of the liquid is gone.
Dust countertops with flour and roll out pastry dough. Cut into 6 equal-sized squares.
Place a little over 1/8 cup of apple mixture onto the middle of each square.
Fold diagonally to make a triangle and crimp edges, first with your fingers and then with a fork.
Transfer to parchment or foil-line baking sheet.
Brush with coconut oil (or egg wash) and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Cut 2-3 small slits in each turnover.
Bake in preheated overn for 18-20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
In a small bowl, stir together powdered sugar and whipping cream to make a glaze.
Drizzle glaze over warm turnovers.
