Homemade Artisan Crackers

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  • Mix flour and salt together.
  • Add water and oil and mix into a sticky dough.
  • Place dough on a floured surface and knead briefly.
  • Divide dough in half and roll each half into rectangle shape.
  • Cover two cookie sheets with parchment paper and place rolled out dough on them.
  • Roll dough even thinner if you’d like crispier crackers (or keep it thicker if you prefer).
  • Cut dough into small squares using a pizza cutter.
  • Sprinkle with salt, sesame seeds, or leave them plain.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes.
  • Stir/rearrange the partially-baked crackers and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes, or until crackers are light golden and crispy.
  • Let cool for at least 5 minutes.
  • Eat and enjoy!
