2cupsall-purpose flour
2cupswhole wheat flour
8teaspoonsbaking powder
2Tablespoonssugar
1 1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2cupbutter(1 stick)
2cupsmilk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and mix well.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the milk just until moistened and the dough sticks together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead 8-10 times.
Roll to 3/4-inch thickness and cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place the biscuits on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
