Homemade Healthy Protein Bars Recipe

Ingredients  

  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1.5 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2 Tablespoons ground flax seed
  • 2-4 scoops protein powder
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or butter melted
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except chocolate together well (mixture will be somewhat sticky).
  • Line an 8×8-inch pan with foil and spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Melt chocolate on the stove or in the microwave and spread over the mixture in the pan.
  • Place the pan in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
  • Cut into 12 bars and wrap them individually in plastic wrap or foil and store in the freezer.
  • Thaw slightly before serving.
