Crystal, Seeing this post a few days ‘late.’ But want you to know I love the idea and can just imagine it a generation later, of your children making pies with your mom. I can see you and Brigette doing the same thing a ‘few’ years ago. Wonderful memories, and so great that they have to opportunity to make new memories as well. A blessed season of celebrations to all of you.
Linda for John, Laura, and Aaron as well.

last night: loaded mashed potatoes with a shallot and garlic clove sauteed in 2T butter, with some bacon bits. Moistened the leftover potatoes with leftover evaporated milk and added chopped parsley (still had fresh in a glass of water in the fridge). Mixed it all up in the frying pan and added a little garlic salt & pepper then covered with grated cheddar. Served with steamed broccoli (leftover from veggie tray) also with grated cheddar on it. Added Kielbasa and a plate of celery sticks, cucumber slices, and snap peas. Now almost every bite of leftovers is gone except some turkey & ham in the freezer!
Subway tonight for $2 subs, then French Toast for dinner, then Split Pea Soup.

Seeing the slow cooker lasagna recipe in your menu reminds me that I haven’t made it in a while. It’s always a big hit at our house. I’ll need to add it to my menu soon.
The pies look so good. I made a diary free/egg free pumpkin pie this year and everyone loved it so much we didn’t have any leftovers. I think next time I will need to make two. 🙂

Have you made slow cooker lasagna before? Does it work?
