Made the cheesy chicken and potato chowder last night. Everyone loved it! I can’t believe you had leftovers! 🙂
Suzanne H says
Make the apple bars – they look AHHHH-MAZING!
Joan says
Definitely the Apple Streusel dessert!
Melissa says

Tshanina @ Thrifty T's Treasures says
I hope you and your family enjoy the Slow Cooker Lasagna (thanks for sharing it)! Now that I’ve made it in the slow cooker, I don’t know that I’ll ever go back to the traditional way! It’s so easy!
Happy Thanksgiving Crystal!
Crystal says
I can’t wait to try it! And Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
Lana says
I would do both of the desserts do that everyone has a choice. I typically do three or four and they last the weekend for game nights and drop in friends.
Crystal says
Multiple people are bringing desserts, otherwise I’d probably make 3-4 — or more. 🙂
I might end up making both, though, because I’m still undecided! I’m going to the grocery store in a few hours so I have to make a decision soon. 🙂
Lynn L says
I personally love anything with apples, but in view of the holiday line-up, I would make the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie pie for Thanksgiving, then do the Apple Streusel Bars during Christmas! Win-win! They both look terrific!
Jillian Kay says
I would pick the apple dessert, but I guess it would depend on what is else is there.
Here’s my menu. We’re doing mostly freezer meals this week

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

I would totally go with the apple streusel bars! They look delicious! I LOVE all things chocolate, could eat my weight in cookie dough and haven’t met a pumpkin recipe that I dislike, but the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie dough pie just seems weird.
Happy Thanksgiving!! You and your blog are one of many things I’m thankful for!
Elizabeth says
Both desserts look ok. Maybe even yummy. A yummy recipe we sometimes make is Pumpkin Cheesecake…recipe comes on the back of the label for those premade graham cracker crusts you buy at the store. EASY peasy…takes about 5 minutes to get into oven…then bake, cool, and set in fridge overnight or a few hours…everyone who eats it loves it. Not my recipe…just one I found!!
Guest says
I made a pumpkin cheesecake (marbled) one Thanksgiving. It was delicious and a big hit!

Thanks, Crystal, for including my Peanut Butter Cup Lasagna. It’s a little pricey for the ingredients but it will totally rock! Let me know how it turns out! Happy Thanksgiving!
Jamie says
Ooohhh, the apple pie bars look yummy!! I do believe I will be trying those out this week!
Charity says
I would say the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie, in fact tomorrow is my weekly baking day and I’m adding this to my list! Also, thank you for the link to the Slow Cooker Lasagna. I’m going to try that this week as well, only with different pasta. I don’t use lasagna noodles for lasagna. I use bow ties since they lay flat like lasagna noodles, but are much easier to eat, especially for my children. 🙂
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m so thankful for your ministry. I feel like you’re a dear friend, although I’ve never met you. God bless you, and Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
Crystal says
Thank you so much! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, too! I hope we get to meet in real-life sometime in the not-too-distant future!
Suzanne says
Crystal: where do you get “whole wheat kernals” for the blender pancakes? They sound awesome!
Crystal says
I get mine in bulk — you can get them from Vitacost, Azure Standard, the health food store, or even Walmart.
Mel says
I’d do the apple bars. The pie has too many different things going on.

The choc pb cup looks sooo good. But since you’re already deciding on that one, I’d say the other depends on what else is being brought. (Like another commenter) I’d say if someone is doing apple pie, then pick the pumpkin cookie pie but if not I’d say the apple one. 🙂
Holly says
mmmm… chocolate chips in a pumpkin pie! sounds divine!
Deanna says
They both look yummy! If there will already be apple pie I’d do the pumpkin chocolate chip one if not the apple. They both look yummy!
Aimee says
I’ve been strongly considering investing in the bread machine you have so highly recommended. We cannot have gluten, though, and I’m wondering if any of your readers have used a bread machine to make multiple types of gluten free bread. Want to make sure it’s worth the money!
celia says
I would make the apple one, that pumpkin cookie looks dry. I have also found that when I make something pumpkin for Thanksgiving that is not pumpkin pie, people get really sad. They are much more forgiving with apples.
Melissa says
I would totally go with the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie pie!
Here’s our menu plan for the week:

Whichever you choose, enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Julie says
I would do the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pie! Looks yummy! And I’m going to have to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Lasagna…chocolate and peanut butter is one of the all-time best pairings ever!
K.S says
I say the pumpkin dessert since its for thanksgiving:)
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Yum…both of those desserts look good! I would maybe go with the pumpkin chocolate chip pie. I might try that one out myself 🙂
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Crystal!
Kim says
The chocolate peanut butter cup lasagna looks amazing. I need a glass of milk just from looking at it!
Carol says
Apple streusel sounds good.
Heather says
I’d go for the apple one.
Amanda Koopman says
I would totally go for the apple streusel… I’ll have to try that one of these days, but for Thanksgiving, totally looking forward to Pumpkin Pie Dump Cake..
http://www.thecountrycook.net/2012/10/pumpkin-pie-dump-cake.html
found this recipe a few months back and I’m in love. Just like pumpkin pie, but without the crust (I hate the crust of pumpkin pie)… LOVE!!!
JMD says
The apple streusel for lunch dessert sounds wonderful and a different spin on flavors that day. Not convinced on the other dinner dessert. Sorry, just being honest.
