I’ve had terrible heartburn in my lifetime — especially during my last pregnancy! I remember that it would be so bad that I would try to fall asleep sitting up to help ease the discomfort a little bit. I would want to get relief from it, but the last thing I would want to do was try to swallow a pill.
If you’ve ever suffered from frequent heartburn, I’m sure you can relate! Which is why Walgreens has launched a brand new line of innovative heartburn relief — that doesn’t require you to try to swallow a pill.
You can now get Well at Walgreens Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets (also referred to as Omeprazole ODT) over the counter at your local Walgreens store!
Interested? Here more information you should know about the Well at Walgreens Omeprazole ODT:

- Due to its long-lasting protection, it’s ideal for frequent heartburn sufferers.
- No glass of water is needed. You can take it on the go with you!
- It’s designed to treat the symptoms of frequent heartburn of 2 or more days per week.
- One pill provides 24-hour relief from heartburn. Relief will be seen within 1-4 days, while some may see relief within the first 24 hours.
- The pills are strawberry flavored for a pleasant taste.

Jennifer says
I can’t tell you how many times I have been in the car without water and feel the heartburn starting. It’s horrible to know the worst is coming and wanting to take a pill right away, but I can’t because I have no water. I know that Omeprazole is not the medication to take for immediate relief of heartburn, however, I still like the idea of having a pill you can take without water. As I get older the heartburn seems to get worse with trigger foods. Heartburn is not fun, but at least there are numerous medication options out there to help us feel better.
Jen says
I get heartburn periodically and I excited to try this option…hopefully the strawberry flavor doesn’t have a chalky taste to it
Kristen Reeves says
I have dealt with heartburn/acid reflux my entire life. I was diagnosed with GERD more than 10 years ago. While I was pregnant with my daughter, I had to continue to take Nexium which I hated doing. I slept sitting up throughout my entire pregnancy and had to continue to do so even after. By 2014, I was sleeping sitting up every night, taking 80 mg of Nexium a day, and had developed Barrett’s esophagus with precancerous lesions. I underwent the most horrible surgery where the top portion of my stomach was cut off and wrapped around my esophageal sphincter to prevent the stomach acid from coming up. I developed terrible complications and had to be on a liquid diet for months. I told myself I would never have that surgery again. Unfortunately, I am starting to get heartburn again just 4 1/2 years after my surgery, and I am back to eating Tums daily. I would love to try these new dissolving tablets! Hopefully, they will give me the relief I need and help me avoid having that miserable surgery again.
Kim says
I took prescription medication for heartburn for years until I read an article about orange peel extract at a health food store. I went off the prescription medication & took the 20 day regimen of orange peel extract capsules. After the 20 days, the heartburn was not completely resolved, so I did another 20 day regimen & have been off all medication for heartburn since 2007. I’ve had only a few times when heartburn showed up since 2007, so made a tea out of orange peel, which has taken care of the heartburn without any drugs.

90% of the time heart burn is caused by too little acid in your stomach, not too much, so taking an antacid would end up making it worse. Apple cider vinegar will usually help by replacing the acid you need. Just mix a tablespoon with a glass of water or juice and a sweetener and sip it. Also going low carb for a while stopped my heartburn cold.
