Freebies for children

Half Price Books: Free Cici’s Buffet or $3 gift card for reading – From Sheila:

Kids 10 and under can earn a free Cici’s kids buffet (with
purchase of an adult buffet) or a $3 Half Price Books shopping card by
reading 15 minutes for 5 days. Go here for more details.

Georgia Readers: Free book each month for children 0-5 – From Margery:

you live in certain counties in Georgia, and if you have children
between the ages of birth and 5 years old, you can have a free hardback
book mailed to your child every month 100% free. It’s part of a
literacy campaign by the Ferst Foundation for literacy. Readers can go
to check their county’s eligibility. I signed my 3-year-old up, and she
has already received two books.

Free Circus Ticket – From Kimberly:

Brothers Circus has had a promotion for several years now where you can
sign up your baby for a free ticket. This has no expiration date and
can be used anytime, anywhere.  It takes a long time to get it in the mail, but I’ve done it for all 3
of my girls so far and never had a problem. We are saving our tickets
for when the girls are a little older (they are only 4, 2.5, and 1
right now).

Thanks for the tips about the circus! 😀 Too bad it’s too late for my 3 year old to get a ticket too. 🙁

  • Tami says:

I still have the circus ticket from when my son was born and he will be 11 next month. I was never able to use it because you have to get your ticket at the box office and that was never an option for me since the circus never came close enough for me to justify spending the gas money to get to the box office. It was always just more cost effective to order the tickets online and pay regular price.

But this is a great deal if the circus comes to your town!

  • Courtney says:

THe free circus ticket is also good for children who have been adopted, as long as you request it within the first year after the adoption. 🙂

  • Saundra says:

Tennessee also has a program, started by Dolly Parton. A free book each month, birth to age 5. I don’t know if it is in all counties yet or not.

  • jessica says:

I signed up for the circus ticket over a year ago and never received it.

  • Tonya says:

There is a ecoupon for your Kroger card for 75 cents off the bountiful salad dressing so you could make a few cents on the deal.

  • Kaye says:

Thanks for the tip for GA readers! I knew TN did this with Dolly Parton, but am excited that we have a similar program!
