We LOVED the ReadingIQ app!
Silas absolutely loved this reading app when he was younger and it really helped him fall in love with reading after years of not being excited about reading.
In the first 6 weeks of using it, he logged close to 600 minutes of reading on ReadingIQ… all on his own. And did I mention this was with almost zero coaxing or encouragement from me?
So if you have little ones who struggle with wanting to read, I’d highly recommend trying it out — because it sure worked for us!

Does anyone know any fun yet educational elementary math subscriptions or apps for a girl.
Sarah Mueller says
Krystal, what kind of tablet (iPad, kindle, fire) is Titus holding?
Crystal Paine says
Silas is using an iPad.
Sarah Mueller says
Gah – Silas! I’m sorry! We have an amazon fire and I just figured out how to get it on there!
Lora says
Sarah, what did you do to make it work on a Fire? We have the app but can only use it on the iPad all the kids share – I’d like to put it on the fire for extra access.
Shawna says
Ok, same here! Thank you!
Kathy says
Got it. Now I’ll have to figure out how to download it on his Kindle and hope to get my son reading. Thank you
Shawna says
Did it work with the Kindle fire? I read somewhere it isn’t compatible with it, but I wondered if it had been updated.
Elizabeth H. says
I signed up the last time and ending up getting a refund because there is not an app for Kindle Fire. Amazon won’t let them offer an app for Kindle. So unless that has changed since a month or two ago when Crystal posted the last offer. Now you could just access it through the web browser on a Kindle Fire without the app, but we don’t want our kid to have access to the web browser in their fires and I don’t want to have to closely supervise. So unless somone knows a creative work around to still be able to use it without totaly internet access on a kids profile. I’d love if they had an app for Kindle
Carol White says
Is this a good app for kids who love to read or for beginning readers?
Elizabeth H. says
No app for Kindles. You’ll have to access it thought the web browser on the Kindle use a different device or request a refund. They did give me a refund last time she posted it once I realized that they didn’t have a Kindle app. They were really nice about it. It’s a bummer
Crystal Yarnall says
What ages is this for?
Crystal Paine says
It’s supposed to be up to 12, but I’d say the ideal age is a beginning to intermediate reader.
Sarah says
Do you know if they have any bilingual books? My daughter is in a Spanish dual language program and we are needing an affordable way to read Spanish books. Our library has a small section.
Crystal Paine says
That’s a great question. I’d suggest shooting an email to them here: https://www.readingiq.com/customer-support
Sasha says
We’re looking into Epic as they have Spanish books. They’re having a black Friday sale too.
Kristin Cribbs Dunlap says
BTW – how do you track his reading time?
Crystal Paine says
ReadingIQ tracks your reading time. We also have a worksheet that he fills out daily with his reading time.
Kristin Dunlap says
Could I possibly see the worksheet you use?
Crystal Paine says
Yes! Jesse and I talked about it on a recent podcast episode: https://moneysavingmom.com/what-its-really-like-to-be-married-to-your-business-partner/
Here’s the one he customized: https://www.clementinecreative.co.za/reach-goals-free-printable-habit-tracker/

Yay! Let us know your experience. -Jordan, MSM Team
Kristin says
It’s been great! Most of the time, the kids end up reading more than their required 30 minutes and they have found some great books! You know the books are good when they have to come tell you about them. 😊
Jordan says
Aww! That’s amazing. We’re so glad they are falling in love with reading! -Jordan, MSM Team
Tricia says
Does it work when you are offline?
Crystal Paine says
Unless they have recently changed something, I don’t believe you can read them offline.
Erin says
Do you know if the books can be downloaded so they can be read when we are offline?
Crystal Paine says
Unless they have recently changed something, I don’t believe you can read them offline.
