Want to earn a few free gift cards per year? Be sure to check out NCP ReCap!
I downloaded the NCP ReCap App this week to check it out and would definitely recommend it! It’s free to download, it’s super easy to use, and it’s a great way to earn free gift cards!
All you have to do to start earning free gift cards is download the app, set up an account through the app, and then hit the scan button to scan your receipts. You’ll earn 250 points just for signing up.
Then, as you do any shopping throughout the week, just open up the app and scan your receipt from the store. It takes just seconds to scan a receipt and you’ll earn 50 points for each receipt you scan. You can submit receipts for grocery stores, department stores, pet stores, convenience stores, home improvement stores, and more!
You can scan up to 10 receipts a week. That means you can earn 500 points per week.
Once you earn 5,000 points, you can exchange your points for a $5 Amazon gift card or 9,000 points equal a $10 Amazon gift card and 21,000 points equal a $25 gift card. (Yes, you’re not going to get rich doing this, but it’s a fun way to earn a little extra side cash in just a few minutes each week!)
When Jesse was in law school and money was extremely tight, I was constantly on the lookout for any free way I could earn a little cash or free gift cards. This would have been one I would have loved to use! It might not seem like much, but all of these little things can add up!
Go here to get started with NCP ReCap!
Want more easy ways to earn free gift cards and cash? Check out Ibotta, Swagbucks, or Fetch Rewards.
NCP does not have gift cards any more.
Does it work for online shopping too?
I believe this one is just for in-store shopping as of now! But Ibotta, Shopkick, and Swagbucks all work for online shopping! They’re linked at the bottom of the post. Hope that helps! -Meg, MSM Team
I’ve just started using it recently, so haven’t built up many points or cashed out. It’s fairly easy to scan receipts. If I remember right, it asked for the first one to enter a little more info about who shopped, but after that the info was already saved. You only get points for the first 10 receipts each week, and I don’t like that it doesn’t tell you when you’ve done the 10th one, but other than that seems easy enough.
I do a few of these apps. You won’t get rich for sure, but to me they’re just a little extra money here & there.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! -Jordan, MSM Team
From what I can gather after asking them questions about how it works because it’s vague, you can submit the maximum number of receipts and it will still take 10 weeks to earn $5. Maybe I’m off on this but it doesn’t seem like a good use of time to me.
I would love to hear from anyone that has been using this app. I already use the others.
Me too! I use th others but would like to hear if this one is worth it.
I use this app and the earnings are VERY minimal. That being said, about 4 weeks ago, I received an email saying that if I submitted my receipts 5 weeks in a row, I would get a $50 Amazon gift card. This was after 3 years of use so obviously a rare occurence. Scanning the receipts and barcodes are not difficult, but if you use coupons, entering that information makes it a bit time consuming. I earned about $20 after 12 weeks of entering data, including my sign up bonus, etc.
