(All dressed up for Silent Disco Night at camp!)
I could look at last week’s goals list and be discouraged at how little it feels like I crossed off. But then, I look at all that actually happened last week and I can remember that maybe it doesn’t look like I got a lot done, but I focused on people versus projects and being present versus being productive… and I realize that it was a really good week.
Last week’s goals:
Personal Goals
1. Get in 54,000 steps total.(I use the FitBit Ulta HR to track my steps every day.)
2. Finish reading The Path Between Usand Counterfeit Gods.Listen to The Atomic City Girls.(I decided to stop listening to this book because it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. More details on that on my book review post this week.)Home/Family Goals
3. Read 40 more pages of Carry a Big Stick aloud as a family. (I only ended up reading aloud once and we made it through 10 pages. Hey, that’s something, right?)
Work/Blog Goals
4. Finish editing chapters 1-3 and finish the rough draft of chapter 4 of my manuscript.(I only got a chance to work on the book a few times last week between my friend’s funeral and being out of town helping at Youth Group camp all weekend. Here’s to hoping I make more progress this week!)
5. Run a book giveaway on Instagram with some books I’ve already read.Word of the Year Goals
6. Pop popcorn and watch another classic movie as a family.(We watched Treasure Island. Review coming later this week!)
We have what looks to be a calmer week this week. We are actually home three evenings out of seven — I can’t remember the last time that has happened! And we don’t have any big things happening this week… well, anything that I know of yet! 🙂 So I’m planning 9 goals and we’ll see how it goes!

So sorry about your friend 😔
I got most of my goals taken care of last week. I didn’t run, but my foot wasn’t ready, and I didn’t clean my 12 year olds room because honestly it was just easier to close her door. Lol.
This week I’m trying to keep it lighter..
1) Week 2 of workout program
2) 64 oz water daily
3) Read 2 books
4) Declutter computer room, kitchen, living room, dining room, master bedroom and garage (I’m typing this on Tuesday but wrote on Sunday. This won’t be finished 🤣)
5) Duolingo 5x
6) Social media free dats Thursday and Sunday
7) Do 1 puzzle
8) Enjoy vacation this weekend!

Sorry about ur loss. What happened?
Crystal Paine says
She has battled cancer for 3 years and took a sudden turn for the worse. 🙁
Chrissie says
You fixed the comments yay! It does not bounce me back to the beginning. Thanks for taking care of something little, but makes me happier!

Graco sit and stand was my favorite stroller out of many. Easy to push, VERY lightweight. Adaptable and lots of storage.
Crystal Paine says
You are so welcome!

You won’t regret a Lille Baby carrier. They have them on amazon so you could use swag bucks. They are super comfortable. Fit just about any body type. ( my 5 foot friend has one, I’m 6 foot and thinner and my bulkier husband all find it comfortable) It also goes up to 50 pounds so I’m still using it with my almost 2 year old. Can’t recommend enough!!!
Crystal Paine says
Thanks so much!

I’m sorry about your friend.
This may sound weird, and it’s harder to navigate, but I’d recommend a double stroller if you’re looking for a new stroller. It’s nice to have an extra place to put bags when out shopping. And it could be useful if you’re looking at fostering younger kids. Just my $.02.
K says
That’s a good idea. A lot of the newer strollers are single strollers with the option of attaching a second seat, so it could be attached/detached as needed.
Crystal Paine says
Yes! We’re definitely considering a double stroller!
Crissy S. says
Crystal, I’m sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
Crystal Paine says
Thank you so much! If you could pray for my friend’s husband and her two kids, I would so appreciate it. My heart is very heavy for them.
Crissy S. says
Yes, ma’am. I will.
