So, as I shared about in my Morning Motivation Show this morning, last week was a hard week for me. But it was also a good week because I learned more about giving myself grace and not listening to the inner critic.
I’m feeling a lot better this week, but I’m intentionally deciding to continue to take it slow and get plenty of rest.
Last week’s goals:
Marriage/Mothering/Homemaking Goals
1. Finish reading one read aloud book with the kids.
2. Write a love note to Jesse.
3. Have an at-home Movie Date with Jesse.Personal Goals
4. Get at least 7+ hours of sleep every night.5. Finish reading one fiction book.
6. Do the 5-Day Homemaking Challenge.

I think it is pretty amazing that you are having a “slow” week in which you are speaking at a conference and planning a book launch! I am pretty amazed at your schedule and the way that you manage to keep your perspective through it all. My week is looking pretty tame 🙂

Ha! Well, I should qualify those two things and say that I have extra help: I hired a new (wonderful!) assistant who is doing the lion’s share of the book launch stuff because I just don’t have the capacity to pull it off right now and had already committed to doing it and getting it all done by next week. And then my manager and another assistant are traveling with me to the conference. So I basically only have to show up and speak/talk to attendees. They are protecting my time while there and doing all the set-up/tear-down so that I can get in plenty of rest.

Down time is good for the soul. I wish I was going to momcon! It sounds so fun 🙂 Have a blessed week!

I can’t wait to read your book! My baby is about to turn 2 and I’m starting to reach a place where I can do more, so this book will be very timely for me.

Way to go on slowing down! Sometimes we just have to listen to our bodies! MomCon sounds fun!!

I’m so glad you slowed down and gave yourself grace. Sometimes it’s so hard to let someone else do things. I have to admit that I was a little frightened when I seen you on the counter but I didn’t want to say anything. You’ll feel so much better taking it easy for awhile. Have a great week.
