I saw this recipe on Pinterest the other day and knew I had to try it. It’s hard to go wrong with anything that has bananas, chocolate, and chocolate chips. And the recipe, as expected, didn’t disappoint.
We made Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothies for breakfast a few days ago and they were a hit.
I’m sure you’ve probably figured out by now that we’re chocoholics around here. It seems almost every other recipe I post has chocolate as one of the main ingredients in it. So it only was natural for me to modify our family’s favorite banana bread recipe to add chocolate. Because everything’s better with chocolate. 🙂
A friend of mine told me last year that she loved frozen grapes in smoothies. Frozen grapes in smoothies? That just seemed weird to me. But I tucked that piece of information in the back of my brain and pulled it back out again recently when I bought two bags of grapes marked down to $0.99 at the health food store. The result? This delicious Pick-Me-Up Smoothie recipe.
As I’ve progressed along in my P90X Fitness plan, I’m finding I’m more and more hungry and having to eat a lot to keep up my stamina due to all the calorie-burning this fitness plan requires. I’m guessing I’m eating somewhere between 600 to 700 extra calories per day — and not gaining an ounce of weight! It feels like I’m a brand-new nursing mom who is eating like a horse. Only sometimes, I think I’m even hungrier!
I mentioned last week that one of my current goals is to challenge myself to make more things from scratch. As we’re eating lots of protein bars as part of P90X, I wanted to see if I could create a yummy, healthful and nutritious protein bar from scratch. After scouring the internet for recipes, I ended up tweaking a recipe I found on the P90X forums. The result was the following recipe, which every single person in our family has dubbed as delicious.
