Please tell Gretchen to buy her yeast in bulk. I can’t remember the price, but you can get a two-pound package at Costco for something like $7, and it’ll keep for a year or more, especially in the fridge. Even online, King Arthur has it for $9.95. A two-pound package amounts to 133 packets of yeast. She’d only have to use something like a quarter of it to break even at the $10 price.

Thanks for letting me know and that tip! I don’t have a Costco or Sams membership but I will try and maybe ask a family member who does to pick up yeast for me when they are there! – Gretchen, MSM Team

I was at Costco today in the Kansas City area, and it’s $4.49 for a two-pound bag. So it’s an even better deal than I thought!
