Gretchen’s $128 Grocery Shopping Trip and Menu Plan (Stock Up Week)

We are planning to stay home the next several weeks and avoid grocery shopping so I spent a bit more this week stocking up. Our freezer and cabinets are full so hopefully I can stretch everything to last for 3-4 weeks.

Local Country Market

All of the grocery stores in our area are completely out of meat so I made a stop at our local country market and saw they still had some in stock. This is way more than I usually pay, but that’s what happens when every other store is completely sold out of ground beef for weeks.

5 lbs Ground Chuck – $29.38 (This will last for 10 meals as I usually only use half the amount of meat in any recipe.)

5 lbs Chicken Breast – $12.32

1 bag Romaine Lettuce – $1.49

1/2 Gallon Local Honey – $18.99 (I couldn’t pass this up as we go through honey really fast and this was a great price! I’m hoping to make up a big batch of homemade granola bars so this will be perfect!)

10 lbs All Purpose Flour – $4.49

Total: $66.67

Total for both stores: $128.21
