Good morning!!! It’s Day #10 of the Get Up Early Challenge and I gave myself my first Grace Day of this challenge… I was supposed to be speaking at a local event this morning but that got cancelled because of the school closings and the snow. Which meant my entire morning is now free!
Jesse didn’t get back home from being out of town until close to 10 pm last night, so I decided this was the perfect morning to have a Grace Day!
I just got up a little while ago and saw that it really and truly did snow! Now I’m off to have my quiet time and get ready for the day. I’ll be on Periscope for my usual morning show at a much later time this morning — probably 9 am CT. We’ll be doing our Q&A Friday today! I’d love for you to join me or watch the replay (just download the app and search for @MoneySavingMom).
Are you joining me for the Get Up Early Challenge? If so, leave a comment on this post to let me know how you did with your wake-up goal this morning.
We’re in this together… And if you didn’t hit your goal, that’s okay! Give yourself grace, don’t beat yourself up, and know that you can try again tomorrow!

I’ve been doing this religiously all week. 5am is rough, 5:30 seems to work but today must be my grace day as I got up at 6am. I do have to say that my body is adjusting quickly to early time frame and I’ve been waking up before my alarm. I love this! I’m not a morning person, but I’ve been pretty organized all week and getting some things done.

Stay safe with this weather! Thankfully, the worst of the storm will be missing us in N.E. Ohio. I accidentally gave myself a grace day today… had a migraine last night so I took some medicine. The medicine makes me sleep really soundly. Slept through my usual three alarms but woke up pain free and very, very rested!

We’ve got ice here. I didn’t want to get out of the bed! Glad you took a grace day. 🙂

I’ve given myself a grace week because my husband was out of town for work, so I was handling my toddler and working. I’ve also been having pregnancy-related pains that exhaust me.

We have a snow day as well! (I’m a teacher in Virginia.) So, I slept in until 6:30 and really enjoyed it.

Looking forward to the periscope this morning! Have to say, I’m glad today was the last day of getting up at 4:00 with my husband for the week. I was kind of in a daze and am losing some productivity this morning. I might try to catch a quick nap later.

I hope you get a nap later today!

Yesterday and today have been my grace days. Knowing schools would be closed, I didn’t set an alarm and we all slept in til 7! Unfortunately, we’re snowed in up here in Pegram, Tennessee, out of milk and my oldest with a possible ear infection. Yikes!! But fun shall prevail and snowmen shall be made 😀 It’s my youngest daughter’s first snow. Can’t wait to see how she reacts!

Ugh! I feel bad for you. We live in the Portland suburbs but fortunately within a mile walking distance to an Urgent Care and a Whole Foods. We go to a different doctor and I rarely shop at Whole Foods but when it iced and snowed here, it made me feel better. Hope your child’s ear feels better!
Allison says
Thanks! She is feeling better as evidenced by the amount of time playing in the snow today 🙂
