The Eat at Home Challenge is this week and runs through April 21, 2017. Every morning around 9 a.m. CT, I’ll be on Facebook Live prepping our dinner to throw in the slow cooker for the day so that when 6 p.m. rolls around dinner is READY!
Every day, in addition to doing a Facebook Live video on my Facebook Page, I’ll be posting here on the blog what I made that day, along with a link to my video (in case you missed it).

What I Made Today
This morning, I made Crockpot Cantonese Sweet & Sour Pork Chops. We don’t eat pork chops very often, so I’m excited to try this recipe out and see what my family thinks!
The recipe was incredibly easy to make and it smells SO good! My family is excited to try it tonight! We’re going to be serving it over rice (remember the rice I made and froze last week?) plus roasted broccoli. Delicious!!

What is the Eat at Home Menu-Planning Service?

Crystal, are you having to make a different meal for yourself? I’m on a strict auto immune paleo diet and struggle with burn-out, preparing separate meals or sides!
Yes, I eat the same thing for 5 days in a row, so I only cook for myself every 5 days and make enough to last for 5 days. 🙂

I love seeing what other folks are cooking for dinner! My family doesn’t eat pork chops, but this recipe can easily be adapted with chicken.

Would this work for people who eat only gluten-free?
So far, most of the meals I’ve seen are gluten-free or could be easily adapted to be gluten-free.
I’m in! I count it quite the privilege to plan and prepare our foods. I mean we get to make what we want, when we want it. Yummy!
I’m not following the meal plan, but I am participating in the challenge! Tonight we are having: grilled teriyaki marinated chicken with mushrooms and buttered asparagus.

We almost always eat at home, eating out less than once per month. This weekend, we were traveling, and I decided to treat us to McDonald’s because for my kids, this is decadence! I could not recall the last time I was in a McDonalds. The kids actually appreciated it because it is such a rare occurrence. When we do eat out, it’s usually a Chinese buffet 🙂
