http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299282.0 <–my favorite craft site has this amazingly easy tutorial on how to turn old tshirts into yoga pants. I've done one pair from my husbands old shirts he no longer wears and it was a great success. I have 3 more cut and waiting to be stitched up right now.
Super comfy, recycles the shirt into something I wear often, and it costs nothing to make.

Love it! We often are given pants/capris and my girls prefer skirts! What a great way to alter them 🙂

Off the topic question:
I saw on FB the other day a deal for Pillow pets…making them around 7ish dollars. Can you help me find it? I can’t seem to. Thanks!!

I did this with a favourite worn out pair of jeans in 2003 and it’s still my go to skirt in the fall!

I don’t think I could ever pull off wearing something like this myself, but it would be quite cute on my 4yr/3yr little girls.
By the way Crystal, I too am really enjoying these DIY posts. I love finding new things to do with things I have on hand, and just learning to do things myself in general. Keep ’em coming 🙂

We’ve done this for several of my daughter’s jeans after they get a hole in the knee. You can also cut off everything just below the back pockets and add layers of material for a tiered skirt…really cute!

Seems like this might work for jeans with a hole in the knee, too. Too bad I’m scared of my sewing machine! 🙂

@Jessica-MomForHim, Liquid Stitch. I don’t own a sewing machine and can’t sew very good by hand.

Oh i just did this! Literally like yesterday. lol. I’m going through a crafty phase and am going to be making baby hats from old shirts today. Might try making baby pants a different day. rookiemoms.com has a bunch of baby clothes DIY tutorials that are really good.
