I am not sure since this is a Groupon deal. I would think that because it is a deal through a third party that you have to sign up through them. Your best bet would be to call your store and ask a customer service rep. Hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team

I was in to get my costco membership today and my local VA costco has a second deal going for all the folks coming in with groupon. If you upgrade your membership and get a Costco credit card you get a $60 cashback card. I didnt do it because I dont need the upgrade but I thought I would share this just in case others could benefit by it.

I bought this deal last week. I got my card from Costco but didn’t get any of the coupons. They gave me a bag so I thought the coupons & cash card were in there but it was just Costco information and their ad. Are the freebies sent later?

Interesting comments but I still don’t see why Costco is better than Sam’s. Sam’s runs the new customer deal every year, usually found on Groupon. Is Costco cheaper, are there other advantages?

It honestly just depends on your preferences! Sam’s and Costco carry very different types of products. I personally love Costco more because I find that they have a lot of specialty food items for special diets (I’m a vegetarian and eat a lot of organic products), great produce prices, and amazing foods for entertaining! But other people love Sam’s Club more. I suggest going to each with a friend who already has a membership and deciding which one you like better. Of course, distance to your house matters, too! No. Once you buy the voucher, you’ll receive your member # and pin. You’ll enter that during the Costco checkout and it will automatically deduct the $60 charge — so you won’t have to pay anything during Costco checkout. I hope that helps! -Meg, MSM Team
