Join me at the Killer Tribes conference in Atlanta on March 23 (and save $20 on your ticket today!)

Are you in the process of building a blog or business? If so, I’d love to have you join me at the Killer Tribes Conference on March 23, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Killer Tribes is one-day experience designed specifically for bloggers, artists, entrepreneurs, and anyone who leads an amazing team. From inspirational stories to practical how-to’s, you’ll walk away equipped and encouraged to find your fans, extend your reach, and build your killer tribe.

And, through noon EST tomorrow (February 27, 2013), you can get $20 off the ticket price by using coupon code MSM when you purchase your ticket!

I was chatting with Anne, who blogs at Modern Mrs. Darcy, recently and she raved about this conference. So I asked her to share a few of her thoughts. Here’s what she emailed me:

I attended the first Killer Tribes conference on a last-minute whim last year. It was within driving distance and tickets were cheap, so I thought I might as well go for it. I’m so glad I did!

I’ve never been to an event that was so densely packed with great content. The speakers (even the ones I’d never previously heard of) were always incredible and sometimes mind-blowing.

My fellow attendees were kind and supportive, encouraging and fascinating. I still can’t believe that Bryan managed to pack so much information into a one-day event, but he did–and it makes Killer Tribes a great value. I’m coming back in 2013–and I’m bringing my husband this year! -Anne

Everyone I know who attended Killer Tribes has said similar things. And that’s why I’m very stoked that I’ll be attending and speaking at Killer Tribes in 2013.

In my presentation, I’ll be sharing candidly about five things I did to build into the community and blog it has become. Most of the things I’ll be sharing are not the typical things suggested in “how to grow a blog” articles and talks, but I tend to be a little “outside the box” when it comes to my approach. 🙂

I asked Bryan to tell me, in two paragraphs, why mom bloggers and business owners should attend Killer Tribes and here’s what he said:

I think Killer Tribes is the perfect conference for women bloggers and mom bloggers because we make sure to provide a balanced mix of inspiration and education with our speaker lineup. Too much inspiration without any practical teaching can get you fired up, but without learning new tools or implementation strategies you’ll be in the same place you were before when the pep talk fades.

Conversely, too much education without hearing the success stories of others makes for a dry and boring conference. At some point the firehose of practical tips and tricks gets overwhelming and you just want to crawl into a hole and go to sleep.

What makes our conference special is that balance of inspiration and practicality from the stage, and the fact that we bring speakers in who we know are going to deliver on each of those fronts. We don’t bring in big names just to sell tickets, we bring in people with real stories and real know-how who will connect with the attendees.

On top of that, being a one-day conference keeps the ticket prices lower and allows folks to keep travel expenses lower if they so choose. We also put a premium on making time to connect with the other conference goers, which to us is what any good conference is really about.

So, what are you waiting for? Come join me and a bunch of other incredible speakers at Killer Tribes on March 23. It’s going to be amazing!

And be sure to register by noon EST tomorrow and use coupon code MSM so you can get $20 off the ticket price

This special offer is only valid through noon EST on Thursday, February 27, 2013.

You can read more about my thoughts on What’s in the Bible here and here. Suffice it to say, I think that our family just might win an award for being some of their very biggest fans ever. 🙂
