Get a free ePattern from Sense and Sensibility!

My friend, Jennie Chancey, is the owner of Sense and Sensibility patterns–a beautiful site offering authentic historic patterns from various eras. Jennie has just converted most of her patterns into ePatterns and she emailed me with a very special offer for my readers.

You can get free ePattern of your choice! Here's how:

1. Blog about Sense and Sensibility's new line of ePatterns link to this page.

2. After blogging about it, drop Jennie a line through her contact form here and send your direct blog post URL and the name of the free ePattern you'd like her to send you to download!

How simple is that? What a great deal for all of the seamstresses out there!

Also, don't forget to sign up for the ePattern affiliate program so you can earn a little money for each sale made through your blog post!

PLEASE NOTE: This free ePattern offer is only available to readers of Jennie has kindly requested that you do not post this offer on other blogs or websites. Thanks for your understanding and help in this matter!

A whole load of baby freebies!

Are you expecting, adopting, or know someone who is? Here's a bunch of great baby freebies to help you out:

Click on the picture above to request your free gift pack from Enfamil.*

More baby freebies:

Free Huggies Supreme diaper

Free baby samples from Planning Family

Free Enfamil formula sample*

Free samples for expecting parents from Baby-To-Bee

Free Baby's Only Organic formula sample*

Free Enfamil Resource Kit*

Free Nestle GoodStart backpack and formula*

Free sample of Parent's Choice formula*

Free Member's Mark formula sample*

And just for fun, you can submit your baby's photo to the Great American Photo contest.

*Since I usually get some negative comments for posting formula
samples, I just wanted to clarify something: I'm a big supporter of
breastfeeding (nursed baby #1 until she was 18 months and am continuing
to nurse baby #2 while pregnant!), however, we have many
readers here who have adopted babies or have been unable to nurse so
these formula samples are really helpful for them.

Free Nexxus samples

The freebies have been rather slim-pickings recently, so I'm happy that there are a few new ones cropping up today.

::Get your free sample of Nexxus shampoo and conditioner here.

::Sign up here to receive a free Holidays at Home gift pack from Right at Home. If you've not received a gift pack in the last 180 days, you're eligible to be one of the first 20,000 folks to receive this.

Thanks, Freebies 4 Mom!

Vote and get free donuts, coffee, ice cream and more!

As if there weren't enough reasons already to vote tomorrow (November 4, 2008), you can also get free food for voting!

Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut to all customers who wear an "I Voted" sticker. This promotion appears to be valid all day long, however, I'd call your local store to make sure they are participating. (More details here.)

Starbucks is giving away a free 12 oz. tall coffee to all customers who come in and say that they voted. (More details here.) This promotion appears to be valid all day long, however, I'd call your local store to make sure they are participating.

Chick-Fil-A is giving away a free chicken sandwich to all customers who wear a "I Voted" sticker. This promotion appears to be up to individual stores and is not a nationwide thing. Call your local store to see if they are participating.

Ben and Jerry's is giving away a free scoop of ice cream from 5-8 p.m. to everyone who votes. (More details here. Thanks, Diaper Diaries!)

Eat N' Park locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia are giving away a free cup of coffee to all customers who wear an "I Voted" sticker. Available 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (More details here. Thanks, Finance Gets Personal!)

Shane's Rib Stack is giving away a free meal–3-piece chicken tenders, fries, and a 20 oz. drink–to all customers who wear an "I Voted" sticker. (More details here. Thanks, Finance Gets Personal!)

Schuler’s Books is giving away a free cup of coffee (locations in the West Michigan area only). (Thanks, Diaper Diaries!)

Did I miss any others? If so, leave a comment or shoot me an email!

As always, I recommend you call your stores ahead of time before visiting them. Even if a promotion is listed clearly on the corporate website, it is good to double-check that your store is on-board with the promotion.

Now get out there and exercise your civic duty!

By the way, it probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: I know that the majority of us likely have some strong opinions and thoughts on the election–many which are widely differing. Since we try to keep an upbeat, helpful place here, please kindly save your thoughts and comments on the election for other forums. Thanks so much!
