It’s been a while since we’ve answered your burning questions and this is one of your favorite types of episodes! So Jesse and I had fun answering another batch of questions you all have submitted recently.
In this episode, we talk about how old we are, how long Champ will be with us, what to do if you want to have kids and your spouse doesn’t, when we start talking about the birds and the bees with our kids and how we approach it, how school is going for our kids, plans for international travel, saving for our kids’ college tuition, how we got involved in youth group ministry at our church, and our favorite part of having big kids.

How do we submit a question?! I want to know if you guys hope to have more biological children. I know after years of infertility, she was a wonderful surprise! Just wondered how it all has affected your future outlook of babies 🙂
We’ve addressed this on previous ask us anything episodes… but the simple answer is that we’re not sure what God has for our future, however, we actually got tested again (mostly out of insane curiosity!) to see if something had changed regarding our fertility and it hasn’t (the doctor’s had said we weren’t even candidates for IVF because of our fertility issues). So barring another really crazy miracle, having another baby is probably not going to happen. We never, ever expected we’d be able to have Kierstyn and she’s such a gift to our life! We want to live our life celebrating the gifts God has given us and trusting Him for whatever He has for our future — and, as foster parents, we just never know what that might be!
I miss when these were written up as articles rather than as podcasts… just some reader feeback. Thank you.
I also agree with Michele about podcasts not being a good fit for me at this point. I miss being able to read the info (as Amanda posted). I am interested in most of the topics shared — just not able/willing to check out the podcasts.
Me too!
We’ve actually never done a Q&A written up as an article before — these podcasts are just something extra we’ve added in the last two years because thousands and thousands of people love them each week and tune in. Lots of people prefer podcasts over blog posts and we’ve had fun adding them. But it’s just something extra, not something that replaces anything here on the blog. 🙂 If you don’t like podcasts, no worries at all. We’ll still offer plenty of blog posts here, too, like usual! Most of the podcasts don’t have anything to do with money, so it’s fun to have an extra place to do them in a different format — and we try to keep most of the things posted here about savings/deals/money. Thanks so much for being a reader!
I actually like the podcast, but I think it is just really different to hit “skip the deals” and have the two podcast recaps in a row as the most recent. I know it is an incredibly busy season for you, but please understand it is very different for those of us who have been reading for years.
Oh yes! That was because it was Prime Days and there have been so many deals before and after that that we took a little break from the usual content posts to focus on those. We’ll likely do the same around Black Friday week, too. But we’ll be back to usual content posts starting tomorrow. I’ve had SO many I wanted to share here, but we wanted to prioritize the deals since there were so many and didn’t want my content pieces to get lost in the shuffle. Most of our podcast listeners aren’t readers here, so we went ahead and did the podcast the past two weeks and I went ahead and posted the show notes so that we’d have them posted. By the way, if you ever want more content/life stuff, I’m always sharing over on Instagram — I’ve been talking about meal planning the past two days. https://www.instagram.com/themoneysavingmom
