Over the past few months, we’ve gotten lots of questions about this very unexpected and surprise pregnancy. So we decided to devote a podcast episode specifically to answering these questions.
We had so much fun answering them in this week’s podcast — and talking about the books we’re reading and two things that are saving our lives right now. In this episode, we share:
- A body wash I’m loving
- How Jesse finally came to the dark side and joined me in loving joggers
- Books we’re reading and loving right now
- Our thoughts on the big age gap between Silas and this baby (11 years)
- How having older kids has changed our perspective on this pregnancy
- Why we’re going to an OB instead of a midwife this time
- What medication I took to help my nausea
- Differences in this pregnancy versus my other pregnancies
- What I’m doing differently this time around — especially when it comes to postpartum
- Little snippets of the birth stories of our other three kids.
- And a lot more!

I forgot earlier to mention the age differences. Glad you are aware if this and going to work on it as a family. My brother and I are far apart in age and I really didn’t know him growing up because when I was in kindergarten he was off to college.

I wish you could offer the podcast on a ‘read’ format?…I don’t have time to sit and listen to a full podcast of anything!..but I can speed read the text format..:)
and since I read in the same room as the rest of my family watches tv/naps, etc.. it is very disruptive to their ‘peace’… (specially them pop up blaring videos unexpectedly!)
Thanks for all you do and all you offer to help ppl learn about many different topics…
Crystal Paine says
Because many of the topics we share are very personal and better understood through the spoken word than the written word, we’ve decided not to do podcast transcripts lest our heart not be communicated clearly and misunderstood. We also want to foster a conversation with people rather than people just reading our words on a page for what we share in these. I know most people listen with headphones in while they are working out, cleaning, doing laundry, driving, etc. So that might be an option for you!
Amanda says
Ugh… I, too, appreciate (so much!) what you do, but the reason I want transcripts is because I’m deaf and can’t listen to the podcasts…
Heather says
I absolutely LOVE the aromatherapy sleep body wash! It’s so calming and relaxing at the end of a long day.
Crystal Paine says
I’m so glad you enjoy it, too!
