Here are some of this week’s best grocery & household deals from, courtesy of Terry and Mandi from Jungle Deals & Steals. Many of these prices are higher than what you’d pay by combining coupons with sales, but they may be good deals for you if you live where there aren’t many stores or deals are scarce:

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers: Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Economy Packs Plus are on sale for $36.75 a pack, or as low as $0.13 a diaper after all available discounts.

Lanisoh Nursing Pads: Get 4 boxes of Lanisoh Disposable Nursing Pads for $23.91. The boxes are usually $7-8 each even at Walmart, so this is a great deal at just $0.10/pad.

Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Cereal: Although you may be able to find better cereal deals in-store, this is a pretty good price for brand name cereal delivered to your door without clipping coupons. Pick up four boxes of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran for $2.22 each.

Nutiva Coconut Oil: It’s been a while since we’ve seen a great deal on this, but right now you can get Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (15-ounce tubs) for just $7.65 each.

Lavazza Coffee: I discovered Lavazza Coffee through Amazon, and it’s become one of my favorites! Pick up four 8.8-Ounce bricks of Lavazza Crema e Gusto Italian Ground Coffee for $14.45, or just $3.61 each.

Glad Trash Bags: Glad Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags are on sale for $0.19 each when you purchase them through Subscribe & Save.

Our family loves, loves, loves Nutiva brand coconut oil! We have tried many brands and this is one of our favorites.

  • I haven’t tried any other brand of coconut oil, but Trader Joe’s has their brand for $5.99, regular price. I’m going to try it out next month (since I already have plenty of Nutiva in my cupboard, lol).

  • I have a question about the coconut oil. I purchased some from Vitacost (haven’t used it yet) but found out that it has the most saturated fat in any oil. I thought it was suppose to be healthy for you? That doesn’t seem like it is. What are your thoughts?

    • Melissa says:

I would research it online to see what you think. It is controversial since we have been told all saturated fat is bad in this country. But so many people love it. Personally, I have heard a couple great stories about the results people have gotten by starting to use it.

    • Emilie says:

I have heard from “them” that the saturated because it is from a plant that is more healthy than those from animals.

      • yeah, i think i read that somewhere too. my friend’s husband brought it up to me that it wasn’t good for me – his wife bought some too – lol

        • Crystal says:

I think just do research online and decide what you feel is best for your family. There are mixed opinions out there so if you don’t feel comfortable using it, then don’t use it.

However, you can use it for much more than cooking — it works great as a moisturizer and much more. I know many of our readers use it for a lot of things, not just to bake with.

          • Thanks Crystal. I am excited about trying it out. My husband makes homemade popcorn so I will have him try it out.

I will just use it in moderation (especially since I bought it – don’t want it to go to waste. :D).

            I really appreciate everyone’s responses!

  • Melissa says:

I don’t find $.51 an ounce to be a good deal for the coconut oil. You can get Nutiva for $.43 an ounce if you buy the two 54 oz. containers subscribe and save from Amazon. Vitacost sells their brand for $.41 an ounce if you don’t count the shipping. (You have to have a larger order to get rid of the shipping cost.)

  • Carlye Rankin says:

Thanks melissa! I have looked online a little bit but wanted to hear from actual people. 😀 I can’t wait to try it bc ppl have told me it is yummy. I bought the oil from Vitacost when they had it on sale plus I had $10 free with discounted shipping. I am apart of the referral program so I have earned $30 so far from friends signing up and buying some things. 😀

What do you use the coconut oil for?

    • Thanks! I am running low on coconut oil!

I use coconut oil in baking to replace butter often (or maybe half and half), it’s also GREAT for making popcorn – so much better for you than microwave and tastes so good. My kids won’t even eat the microwave stuff anymore!

If you go to the Tropical Traditions website, they have a lot of info on coconut oil
