I guess the best way to sum up to last week would be… BABIES! We got to watch Champ two days and we just loved having three babies here — even if it does feel a little chaotic and loud, at times. (We also often wonder how people manage to have triplets or quadruplets!)
Look at how he is holding up his head! He’s started weekly PT and we are already seeing so much progress! He is learning new things every week… and this past week, he rolled over from his tummy to his back TWICE! That was a HUGE milestone!!! (And yes, I totally cried!)
Champ is thriving with his mama and we are so proud of her and of him. He’s 14 months now, taking some steps, is starting to say a few words, and is constantly on the go! He is hilarious and keeps us laughing constantly. He also is learning quite a few different signs (we can’t recommend Baby Signing Times highly enough!)
We took them all to a friend’s soccer game one of the days he was here recently. We basically look like we run a baby daycare! 😉
Watching Kierstyn love on Baby D is one of the most beautiful things. She is constantly going out of her way to give him hugs and make sure he is okay!
Kathrynne and Kaitlynn went to their first ever prom! (Their private school has prom for the entire high school, not just Juniors and Seniors.) They had the best time getting all dressed up for the occasion!
I had to go look in the photo albums and pull out some pictures of the girls when they were much smaller. (This was 12 years ago!)
Kathrynne is on the left, Kaitlynn is on the right. Which one do you think Kierstyn looks like (below)?
Kaitlynn fixed Kierstyn’s hair in a scrunchie! 🙂
Champ and Kierstyn have the sweetest relationship. They always hug and hug each other when they first see each other and get so excited to be together!
We’ve been spending a lot of time at the baseball fields recently. Kierstyn loves to go over and encourage the boys with her smiles and sweet faces!
He continues to amaze us with how well he’s doing. He loves this chair. I didn’t think he’d be able to sit in this chair, but I got it out and tried it and he loves it!
The older three came home from school and Champ was here and they were ALL so excited to be together!
Kathrynne and I drove to Knoxville with the babies on Friday to meet up with two of my sisters. It was so fun for them to get spend time with Kierstyn and meet Baby D.
Happy birthday, sweet Kierstyn! Your life has been one of the greatest and best surprises ever!
You bring so much joy, laughter, and sunshine to our home with your smiles and love and hilarious antics. We are so proud of you! The way you love both Champ and Baby D is especially the sweetest!
When Baby D came to our home 6 1/2 weeks ago, I wondered whether it would be too much for you — whether you would struggle with how much love and attention he would need from us. I remember that first night he arrived at our house. After I put him to bed, I held you and whispered in your ear, “Will you be Mama’s big helper? Baby D needs a lot of extra love.” You have risen to the occasion and taken your role as big sister very seriously. You are always looking out for Baby D, lavishing him with hugs, and going out of your way to heap love and attention on him.
In this picture, you are looking up at your Daddy with sheer delight. Our hearts’ deepest desire is that you would also love your Heavenly Father in the same way. We believe wholeheartedly that He has great plans for your future and we can’t wait to see them unfold!
We love you more than words can express, precious baby girl!
I got this beautiful message from a follower about my book, Love-Centered Parenting, and had to share it…
I’m so honored by the 200+ reviews that you all have left on Amazon. THANK YOU so much!
