Guest post from Lashay Dream Home Based Work:
Are you strapped for cash and looking for ways to earn some extra money on the side? Did you know that there are lots of legitimate ways to make money on the side… especially when you are short on money?
Here are 5 great ideas for earning money quickly online:
1. Write
If you enjoy writing and have good grammar and research skills, then you can write articles on a variety of topics and earn money immediately.
Sites like Textbroker, iWriter, HireWriters.com, etc. list plenty of article writing jobs daily. You can pick up writing jobs from these sites’ dashboards and submit them to your clients for approval. If the clients approve your articles, you will get paid instantly.
Some of these sites will let you cash out your income weekly, providing you accumulate a certain amount in your account which can vary depending on the site. Having knowledge about SEO will be a plus since many clients post SEO article writing jobs.
Another place to find writing jobs is freelance bidding sites such as Upwork, Guru and Freelancer, where clients post writing jobs and freelancers bid on them along with a proposal, price, and estimated delivery time. If you are awarded a job, you will complete it to get paid.
2. Virtual Assistant Tasks
If you have a professional background in administration or customer service, you can work as a virtual assistant for some work-at-home-companies such as Boldy, or work as an independent contractor.
Typically, a virtual assistant is hired to do tasks such as scheduling appointments, emailing, typing, promoting, posting on social media sites, etc. However, many virtual assistants are hired to write blog posts, maintain the company’s blog or website, engage social media following, design and develop blogs or websites, and much more — depending on skillsets and experience.
3. Blog for Others
Many busy bloggers are seeking creative and professional freelance bloggers to write for their blogs. If you have good knowledge about a particular niche, you can write blog posts on various topics within the main niche.
You can earn anywhere between $10 and $50 for writing a 500-800 word blog post, depending on the topic and the blog site. You might even get hired as a regular blogger if you are a good writer.
If you establish yourself as an expert in your niche over time, you can command much higher rate per article. You can also find blogging jobs on online job boards such as The ProBlogger Job Board and Bloggingpro.
4. Sell Your Services on Fiverr
Fiverr is a micro freelance marketplace where you can post your creative and professional services by setting up relevant gigs. A gig is a small task or job that you want to do for $5, hence the site is called Fiverr.
When someone buys a gig, i.e. places an order, you will complete the task to get paid.
You can get started in minutes! Whether it is writing, blogging, editing, web design, web development, logo design, programming or any other skill you may have, you can advertise them on Fiverr and make money when someone places an order to use your services for their needs.
5. Take Surveys Online
If you have some spare time and enjoy giving your opinions, then you might be interested in taking paid surveys online to earn a bit of easy cash every month.
Join as many legitimate high-paying survey companies or sites as possible to do their online surveys. You can earn anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars for each survey you complete, depending on the type, length and complexity of the survey.
A few reputable survey sites are Opinion Outpost, MySurvey, Pinecone Research, and Cash Crate.
If you have a marketable skill, some experience, a hobby, or just some spare time, you can find some ways to earn money online from home quickly.

Plasma donations helped me through college, too. In my case, if I did it twice a week every week, that totaled around $200 a month.

Mystery shopping can also be a good way to supplement income. I did that for years to earn my “fun money” when our budget was super tight.

When I was in college, I offered to proofread stuff through Fiverr and I made some pretty decent money. I would charge $5 for something that would take me maybe 15-20 minutes to read, which is $15-20 per hour. It was enough for me to get pizza and hot wings delivered to my dorm! 🙂

I have tried & tried Opinion Outpost & after spending my time, they never accept my Survey! What am I doing wrong?
Mary H says
It isn’t anything you are doing wrong! I had the same experience you did. I would get quite a way into a survey and then have it tell me I wasn’t accepted. I have had great luck with Pinecone Research, they do not send you a survey unless you are already qualified. It is hard to get accepted but keep applying because you never know when they will have an opening in your demographic.

Hi Monique! Thanks for writing in 🙂 Blogging is a great option for stay at home moms. To be honest, settting up a blog is not hard at all. Crystal shared a great step-by-step guide that will help you get started today – https://moneysavingmom.com/make-money-blogging.
First decide on a topic you are genuinely passionate about. Instead of just writing whatever comes to mind, try to write around a general topic. If you are willing to put in the time and effort your blog will be a success. Best wishes to you!

There is a very popular blogger that is doing a course on how to get your blog up and going as well as successful so that you can make an income off of it. Google at home with Natalie and her website should pop up. Good luck!

To supplement my income I drive for Lyft and Uber part-time. There are so many side hustle companies out there now like, Instacart, Uber, Lyft, Door Dash, Shift Gig, and Handy.

This is inaccurate for the freelance writing on #1. You will not get paid immediately. First, you must submit all your tax information. You will be an independent contractor, so no taxes will be withheld. You may need to contact the IRS, a tax attorney or accountant. Your first few articles will be rated, which takes up to 2 weeks. Until these are rated, you get paid nothing. Once the articles are accepted, then you get ranked at a level and then if your total meets the company’s payment threshold, then you can get paid.

Hi Jessica! It really depends on the company you write for. Several sites like About.com, Blogmutt, Article Document, etc. pay you upfront if the client likes your article. However I do agree for most companies, your submission will take some time to get approved.
Another recommendation – Writers can pick up weekly writing gigs on sites like Content Mills, Upwork, People Per Hour, Domainite, etc. Even if you feel you’re not qualified to write, these are great places to gain confidence and improve your overall writing skills.

You are absolutely right Lashay. Writers can pick up weekly writing gigs. If succeed in task performance then will get payment if not then will gain confidence and improve their overall writing skills. Here I want to suggest another idea for earning money quickly online is as a business plan writer for small business.

Hi Tina! I agree 🙂 What a great suggestion!
