If you are currently spending money on makeup remover products, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to this giveaway. The Makeup Eraser is a product that removes your makeup with just water.
Each cloth is 17×7. One site cleans and removes makeup. The other side exfoliates. The cloth locks in the makeup you remove so that it doesn’t transfer back to your face.
You only need to use water and just rinse it out and hang it to dry. Then, just throw it in the laundry once a week.
I was excited to try out this product because all makeup remover products break my face out (the joys of sensitive skin!). So for years, I’ve just washed my face with water and then cleansed it with Mary Kay Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser.
I tried out the Makeup Eraser hoping it would give me a deeper clean and maybe be simpler. Unfortunately, it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped. I followed the directions to a tee, but found I really had to scrub hard to remove my eye makeup (maybe it doesn’t work as well with Mary Kay makeup?) and scrubbing so hard to remove it it ended up irritating my sensitive skin.
That said, if you don’t have sensitive skin like me and you are spending money every month on makeup removal products, this would definitely be something to check out. I watched YouTube videos from other fashion bloggers and they gave great reviews. It could fairly quickly pay for itself and then end up saving you money each month if by buying and using this, you didn’t need to buy makeup remover products again!

I used to use MaryKay Waterproof and Benifit Real Waterproof mascara. Which both came off pretty easy with MUE. The most important things to remember is not to rub! Be gentle and let the fibers do the work for you. Plus, DRENCH your cloth with warm water. There is nothing about this product that could be abrasive due to it being softer than a baby blanket. I am wondering if you, by habit, squeezed the water out of the cloth or rubbed to hard. It is so hard not to want to rub because it is just water but do not rub. Soft and gentle. I encourage you to please try again for me and see what you think. Set the warm cloth on your eye for a couple seconds before gently removing the makeup. If you give it another try I will even give another one away. The only reason I ask is because I have that Mascara and because I have not heard this specific description before. Oh and make sure you use the Removal side and not the Exfoliating side. I appreciate your time and efforts. I know you are extremely busy!
I was so sad that it didn’t work like I’d hoped. I really, really wanted it to work and was excited about it.
I tried multiple times and it just felt like the only way to get it off was to really, really scrub. I started really soft and did circular motions like the video showed and that just smeared makeup all over me and made a big mess. 🙁 I made sure I was using the removal side and had the cloth super drenched, but the only way I could get it off was to apply what felt like a LOT of pressure.
I watched some different YouTube videos where people were demonstrating it and it seemed that they were applying the same pressure I was. I have very, very sensitive skin and have to be careful what pillowcases I sleep on, etc. so it’s very possible that it was just that this cloth and my skin don’t mix.
I have no idea, but I tried multiple times and ways and watched multiple YouTube videos and just couldn’t seem to get it to work, which made me so sad… 🙁 But I’m SO happy that so many other people love it!
For a couple years now, I’ve been using coconut oil as a makeup remover. I now mix up a few drops of lavender, tee tree and frankincense oil into the coconut oil into a small jar and make more when I run out. I smear a bit of the oil mix onto my face, and then use a cotton ball to wipe it all away. It’s very sensitive on my skin, removes makeup better than any soap or other makeup remover, and moisturizes my skin at the same time. I now only wash my face with a bit of cetaphil in the shower and that’s it.
Anyway, just throwing that out there in case it’s something you’d never tried! 🙂
