48-Hour Giveaway: Family Pass to One of Five Homeschool Conventions

Homeschooling or considering it? You’ll definitely want to enter this giveaway!

Great Homeschool Conventions is giving away a family pass to any of their five homeschool conventions to a reader here this weekend. If you win, you get to choose a free family pass to one of the five conventions below:

Southeast Homeschool Convention — March 22-24, 2012, in Greenville, SC

Midsouth Homeschool Convention — April 12-14, 2012, in Memphis, TN

Midwest Homeschool Convention (I’ll be at this one!) — April 19-21, 2012 in Cincinnati, OH

California Homeschool Convention — May 24-26, 2012, in Long Beach, CA

Northeast Homeschool Convention — June 14-16, 2012, in Hartford, CT

Each convention offers a huge exhibitor’s hall with thousands of products to peruse (look at the huge list of exhibitors here!) plus hundreds of encouraging, equipping, information-packed workshops from a variety of well-known homeschooling experts.

I’m not a homeschooling expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I’ll be speaking at the Midwest Homeschool Convention. I’ve been asked to give five workshops:

  • How to Cut Your Grocery Bill in Half
  • Advanced Couponing Techniques
  • 25 Ways to Significantly Cut Your Grocery Bill Without Clipping Coupons
  • I’d Throw in the Towel–If Only I Could Find a Clean One
  • Becoming a Work-At-Home Mom–Without Losing Your Sanity

If you are a homeschooler (or are considering homeschooling) and live in the Cincinnati area, my husband and I love the chance to meet you at one of my sessions or at our booth! {We have run booths at homeschool conferences before, but we’ve never run a booth and given multiple workshops, too, so this should be an interesting and stretching new adventure for us! :)}

Are you interested in attending one of these conventions? If so, be sure to click on the graphic below and type in your name and email address to enter to win a free family pass. This giveaway ends Sunday, February 26, at 11:59 pm, CST. One winner will be chosen and posted on Monday. The winner will get to choose which convention their free pass will be for.

I really want to go to the Cincinnati convention! Not that I hope everyone else loses, but it would be awesome to win this =)

  • Becky R says:

    Would love to win this!!

  • RuthS says:

Awesome! I’ve been tentatively planning to go to the Cinci one, it would be great to say hi again!

  • Janice says:

Can I gift it to a friend if I would happen to win?

    • Loretta says:

I’m also wondering about this as I’ll be there with my family, but could it be gifted to someone else? I’m hoping so because I just entered the drawing just in case.

Can’t wait to meet you. Your workshops sound great!

  • Amanda says:

I just got chill bumps over this giveaway! My husband and I are seriously considering homeschooling our children…our oldest will be 5 soon. I heard about this convention a month ago and mentioned to my husband that I think we should go to helpus make an informed decision. He was hesistant because of the cost. I’ll take this a sign that we should go. =)

  • Dona says:

I have been following your blog for many many years but never thought I would get a chance to meet you in person because we live far apart. But I will be at the Midwest convention! My husband and I are going for the whole weekend. I went last year and loved it! I will definitely be at one of your workshops !!! Looking so forward to this opportunity.

  • Shannon says:

I only live 2 hours from Cincinnati and we hope to homeschool my son but hoping for some helpful information. This is a wonderful opportunity. Thank you Crystal!

  • Jennifer says:

So curious about the “towel” talk. Would love to hear more 🙂

  • I’m planning on attending the Cincinnati convention and was hoping you would organize a “greet & meet” with your readers. Do you think you’ll plan one? Either way, I am really looking forward to meeting you and your husband. I haven’t been to this convention before, but I have heard wonderful things about it. The list of speakers is quite impressive!

    Yay! I can’t wait!!!

    • Crystal says:

At this point, I’m not sure since I haven’t come up with a good solution logistic-wise to pull it off. I keep hoping, though, and will definitely post about it if I’m able to figure something out. At any rate, I will definitely look forward to getting to meet you as your blog has been a blessing!

  • I’m so excited that you will be at the conference in Cincy!! We went last year and loved it. I describe it as a “homeschooling revival”. It’s so helpful and encouraging. Now, knowing that you’ll be there is just icing on the cake. Praying for you as you prepare for it!

  • Karen says:

I may not be a homeschooler (or a parent!), but I do “teach” as a nanny. Plus, I’ve wanted to meet you for a long time! I will find some way to stop in. Since I live in Cincy, this shouldn’t be too hard to do. ; )

  • lori says:

I don’t homeschool, but I would love to hear your presentations. Is that possible? I live in the Columbus area, which is just a few hours away.

    • Crystal says:

Yes, you could definitely come to any or all of the workshops even if you’re not a homeschooler. You would have to buy a pass to get in, as far as I understand, though. It’s $30 for an individual pass or $45 for a family pass. So you’d have to decide if it’s worth it or not for you.

  • melissa says:

We have gone to the Cincy conference for several years and always have a lot of fun. I am super pumped that I will finally get to meet you. I’ve followed your blog for a long time and you’ve helped our family so much, it seems like we are old friends!! HaHa Now I’ll finally get to meet my “old friend”. Let me know if you need anything or any help while your there. I’d be glad to help out in any way.

  • Bethany says:

My husband and I went to the this conference last year. This year we are bringing our friends along with us. I can’t wait to sit in on a couple of your sessions!

  • Ami says:

I am excited you’ll be there! I’ve alredy bought my ticket, but that’s okay – it’s well worth the price.

I love your example and encouragement on goal-setting. I’m looking forward to coming to at least one of your sessions!
