I’ve set aside the month of March to really focus on organization in my home and life. And I’d love for you to join me!
Day 8 Assignment
::Get dressed in something that makes you feel great {there’s something about dressing in clothes that make you feel great that just gives you more energy and zest for life!}
::Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea, refer to your list of weekly goals, and make a list of no more than 5-7 specific things you want to accomplish today.
::Complete your morning routine {if you don’t have a morning routine, take some time to create one today! Read my How to Develop a Routine That Works–And Stick With It series for step-by-step help.}
::Set the timer for 15 minutes and go through your dresser drawers. Remove items you no longer love, need, and/or wear. Quickly organize the remaining items.
::Wipe down all the door handles in your home. You can use a damp rag with a little disinfectant on it or a cleaning wipe. If you have younger children, they’d probably enjoy joining you in tackling this project!
::Find 7 items to get rid of today. Throw them out, stick them in a donate or garage sale box, give them to a friend who can use them, or list them on Craigslist or eBay.
Note: If you work outside the home or have a really busy week with little time for extra projects, just do the bolded project above.

I can’t get to day #10. I’ve finally caught up because I had a cold the last couple days but thankfully I washed door knobs and light plates when I was doing base boards.

I just subscribed to your site a couple days ago and found this in my inbox today. I just joined the challenge and can’t wait to get started!

I’ve been working on the challenges a few at a time, today and yesterday were very busy for us so I didn’t get the “cleaning” done, but my hubby n I cleaned out the black hole(bottom Of the closet) found 35 items to get rid of, maybe more if u count all the items that went straight into the trash! Will b workin on catching up on the cleaning tomorrow.

Way to go!

Thank you for the easy task today; I needed it! Cleaning the baseboards yesterday took a lot out of me.

You are so welcome!

Woot — yay!

I’m going through my dresser draws right now, I didn’t realize how many clothes I have in there lol maybe if I have time I’ll go through the closet. I also have a nice pile of clothes that I can sell and clothes to donate!!
Crystal Paine says
Yay!

I agree with Amanda, the ebook isn’t showing up for free, its like $4.99
Crystal Paine says
So sorry! That was copied and pasted from the challenge when I did it a few years ago… the ebook is now no longer free. 🙁
Luba says
I am using an economical biodegradable cleaner for my door handles! Since the door handles and light switches are so close to each other, I figured I would do both. 🙂
Crystal Paine says
Great idea!

We got a bunch of snow here in Michigan and the kids had a snow day from school so I really had time to tackle this project and then some. I did my drawers and then tore into my side of the closet and took everything out and organized it again and moved the Spring/Summer clothes forward. It looks so nice! Now we just need warmer weather…I’ll wipe the handles now when the kids go outside to play in the snow.
Tammy says
Got the tasks finished this morning! I have been working on my weight so I had some items in my drawers that just needed to be out of there. Between my dresser and cleaning out the top shelf of my daughter’s closet, my item total for today is 15. My 5-year old daughter enjoyed wiping down the door knobs today.
Casey says
I want to do this challenge, but it may not be in March. This wild weather has hit our house hard with coughs, fevers, stomach bugs, etc one after another. Maybe I can find time to do something while my kids and husband are napping. On the plus side my doorknobs, light switches, and drawer and door handles are already Lysol disinfected.
Crystal Paine says
So sorry you all are dealing with sickness. 🙁
Nicole Roberts @ The Lady Prefers To Save says
I went out this morning to Sam’s and found Clorox wipes, at a great price, to wipe everything down! Thanks!
Amanda Langworthy says
Im not seeing that the ebook frump to pumps is free..am I missing something?
Crystal Paine says
It’s no longer free — so sorry that I accidentally copied and pasted that into the post from when we did this challenge a few years ago.
Sarah says
We have been keeping up with the challenge this year. It is helping take the edge off my feeling of needing to do everything in one day since I know there will be another small, attainable task tomorrow! Thanks, Crystal!
Crystal Paine says
You are so welcome! Thanks for participating!

I just found this (on Day #8), but I’m totally jumping in! It sounds like just what my house needs this Spring!
