Is someone in your family medically uninsured? Are you struggling to afford medical insurance? Or are you maybe medically insured, but your plan doesn’t have very good pharmacy benefits?

If any of these apply to you, it might be worth looking into FamilyWize — a prescription savings company that offers a FREE way to get discounts on prescription medications.

Founded in 2005, FamilyWize negotiates deep discounts on prescription medications and passes those savings along to patients at no additional cost!

FamilyWize has one of the longest-running prescription savings program in the country and is accepted at all major retail and independent pharmacies in the United States — allowing users to receive savings at over 60,000 pharmacy locations!

FamilyWize covers all FDA-approved prescription medications, which can benefit your family and even your pets! On average, users typically receive a discount of around 40% on their prescription medications when using FamilyWize.

Whether you’re insured or uninsured, you can sign up for a FREE FamilyWize prescription discount card. Print it and carry it with you or download their app to store your card digitally.

Either way, it’s a simple sign-up process, and you just present your card to the pharmacist to receive your discount.

They even have a Drug Price Look Up Tool that allows you to compare the FamilyWize price of prescription costs between local pharmacies to receive the best possible savings in a designated zip code!

  • Laura says:

I am a pharmacy technician, and in my experience there are no prescription savings cards that actually save people money. They either charge the patient or the pharmacy (often both) a few dollars, which actually increases the price. I tell people everyday these cards are worthless. I wish these cards would be outlawed.

My son has used GoodRX and he does save money on his RX with their card.

    • Hi Laura,
