5 Great Ways to Earn Money From Home

5 Great Ways to Earn Money from Home

My good friend, Jessica, has a helpful and encouraging post up on 5 great ways to earn money from home. Here’s a snippet:

While I’ve not used my degrees in the manner in which they were originally intended, my education has not gone to waste. The world has changed, and so has the marketplace. I use the skills I honed in high school, college, and the work force in different ways now, in part thanks to advances in technology.

I come from a long line of women who were able to earn money from home without the internet, cell phones, or even cable TV, so I’m pretty confident that we’ve got an advantage today.

No matter where you are now or what your background, you can supplement your family’s income and earn money from home. Not in the scammy, stuffing envelopes way, but in a real, legitimate, mover and shaker kind of way.

  • Great tips! Thanks for sharing. When my son was younger I was able to make extra money by watching another little boy my sons age. Not only did it provide us with some extra income but it gave my son a friend to play with each day.

Yes, many women have found ways to make money from home. During the Depression, my grandmother ran a boardinghouse for the men working in the logging camps of East Texas and when she noticed that they needed to replace worn out shirts, she used her Singer treadle sewing machine to make shirts for them. My mother had a small room built on the back of our house and opened a beauty shop which she operated until shortly before her death.

Thanks for these tips. I’ve got a blog going and wish so much I could learn how to make it generate income. I’m hoping to do a redesign for a more professional look but one thing this post helped me to see is that I need to figure out how to “sell” something. In other words, who am I trying to reach and help? I could certainly teach about debt free living! Thanks for this post that got me thinking!
