I’ve been looking for this week’s goals, but I haven’t seen it yet. I decided to link my goals on here even though it’s been a while since you’ve updated! I always find these posts so inspiring. 🙂

I decided to take a short hiatus from posting my goals since we’re on an extended vacation to Arkansas and Missouri with family and I’m just enjoying a lot of down time, sleeping in, hanging out with family, and reading. 🙂
Once August is over with and we’re back to our normal schedule, I’m excited to resume the usual goal-setting posts. For now, I’m enjoying a little break from the usual.

I hope you have a great trip. I’m sure it will be nice to visit with your sister and her family.
I did awful on my reading goal for last week so this week. I’m trying to find more time this week. I’m already half way to my goal for this week. 🙂

Do you typically purchase your books or check them out from the library? I love to read and I have so many going right now, I finally am giving an audio book a whirl. I have The Saturdays on reserve at the library and I’m looking forward to reading it my children. Thank you for the inspiration!
I’m not able to attend the conference but I’m from Greenville, South Carolina. Welcome to the area! Looking forward to what all you have to say regarding the conference and your trip!

Ok, I have to ask. Is I Thought it Was Just Me (But it Isn’t) so good you are savouring it or so bad you can’t finish? Its been in your pile for months. I’ve read plenty books of both kinds;)
Crystal Paine says
Ha! I *finally* started it this past week… I wanted to wait to start it until I had time to really process it. It’s been really good so far (love Brene Brown!) and I hope to finish it in the next week or so.

Your goal to get down to one sweet treat a week has really convicted me so much so in fact that I have taken to writing down each night what sweet junk I have eaten that day. The first few days were very eye opening as I realized I was having a sweet treat after lunch, as my afternoon snack and after dinner (small items but still not needed). Finally yesterday I looked back and realized I had only eaten one serving of something sweet all day. I don’t know if I could ever get down to just one sweet treat a week but if I could stay at just one cookie, or just one small piece of dark chocolate a day I would be happy with that.

Great job on the extra reading!

I’m in Rock Hill. Would love to meet up if you have the chance!
Crystal Paine says
Aw, you’re so sweet to want to meet up. It doesn’t look like it will work out this time around, but hopefully sometime in the future!

I had to give up on reading “The Traitor’s Wife” as I wasn’t quite following the storyline & it was a little risqué for my taste! Love getting ideas from you on what to add to my reading list! & I enjoy reading your goals – I need to start writing mine down!
Crystal Paine says
I keep saying I’m going to start it and then it just sits in my pile unopened…! I have no idea what to expect with it, so thanks for the heads up that it might not be in line with my tastes.
Miriah says
No problem! I heard great things about it, just was slightly confused. I really know nothing about that era & had a mountain of library books approaching their due date..that’s the beauty of books – you really never do quite no what to expect:) I exchanged “The Traitor’s Wife” for “The Aviator’s Wife” unintentionally at the library, haha:)

You’re coming to SC?? Man!! Rock Hill is a good distance from me though… Maybe 3-4 hrs. Wish you were gonna be closer!!

I hope to walk/run 10 miles this week. I’m really trying to increase the amount of exercise I do each week. Good job with meeting your exercise goals last week.

Love the Mouse and the Motorcycle, one of my most favorite books.
Thanks for the homemade lipgloss reminder. I don’t have a daughter to make it with but I have everything I need and really want to try it.
