I’m so excited about how many of you are joining us for the 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Challenge! If you missed today’s assignment, you can find it here.
I flew to Colorado yesterday for today’s radio show taping with Focus on the Family. So I didn’t get yesterday’s update posted last night.
I used Homemade Cleaner to clean the doorknobs. Love this stuff!
Shiny doorknobs make me happy! 🙂
My top dresser drawer — I cleaned it out not too long ago, or it would probably look much, much worse!
Much better!
We cleaned out our homeschool baskets and came up with a pile of stuff to get rid of!
How you do on Assignment #8? I’d love to have you share your progress and success with us so we can be inspired. Either post a link to your blog post below or leave a comment with your update.

Getting the kids involved is the only way we can stay on top of our crazy house! We tricked them into thinking cleaning was a game with “Cinderella Day!” 😉

I try to wipe down our door knobs regularly to keep the germs down. So they were fairly clean. My daughter’s dresser drawer was really quite full. But now it’s so much better. I’m so happy to be getting some of these tasks done, that I don’t always think about doing. 🙂

Can I listen to your focus on the family podcast online? Can’t find it on their website? Congrats. 🙂

It will be airing on the radio and available online in the next two months — one broadcast is supposed to air in May and the other in June, I believe.
KS says
Ok thanks- can’t wait to hear it!!:-)

Checked the FOF radio website and did not see your name on the calendar through March. Any help? Congrats by the way!

We were taping two broadcasts to air later — probably in May and another in June, though that could change.

I have been cleaning out my clothing and getting rid of a lot lately, so I decided to use yesterday’s challenge to clean out our miss-matched mitten and glove drawer and to eliminate more clothing out of my youngest child’s drawers. I got rid of some clothing and lots of miss-matched mittens and gloves. Wiping down the doorknobs was a quick task and if I had noticed today’s task of light switches, I would have done that yesterday. 🙂

Clean doorknobs can also prevent flu virus transmission. It’s a great tip.
Crystal Paine says
Yes, such a great reminder!

Thanks again, Crystal! Once I was finished with this task, I headed into the yard for some reseeding! Would you ever consider doing a series solely on the office and crafts room? I would love to see that!

I think you need to do a Colorado Springs meet up while you are here!!!

We had a meet & greet at Focus on the Family today, along with the taping… I posted about it a few times on Facebook — so sorry that you missed the posts there. 🙁 It was so great to get to meet some of my wonderful readers!
