I’ve set aside the month of March to really focus on organization in my home and life. And I’d love for you to join me!
Day 6 Assignment
::Get dressed in something that makes you feel great {there’s something about dressing in clothes that make you feel great that just gives you more energy and zest for life!}
::Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea and create a list of weekly goals. I’ll be posting my weekly goals later on today.
::Complete your morning routine. {If you don’t have a morning routine, take some time to create one today! Read my How to Develop a Routine That Works–And Stick With It series for step-by-step help.}
::Set the timer for 15 minutes and run through your home quickly picking up everything that’s out of place and putting it away.
::Clean out the inside of your vehicle. Remove all trash and clutter. Use a vacuum attachment to vacuum all the seats and floors out.
::Find 7 items to get rid of today. Throw them out, stick them in a donate or garage sale box, give them to a friend who can use them, or list them on Craigslist or eBay.
Note: If you work outside the home or have a really busy week with little time for extra projects, just do the bolded project above.

Thank you for putting this together. I started following with task 1 and have just kept going. I have the ebook printed and in my household folder and check it everyday. Even in just these few tasks, it has led to other tasks being tackled that I’ve been putting off for ages. It is amazing the difference it has made to my mindset and the feeling of the house. My home is actually starting to look nice rather than its usual state of being toddlerfied!

I set my timer for 15 minutes, then another 15 minutes…and so on until I had worked for 1 1/2 hours. I was doing laundry and dishes as well as just picking up, but now my house looks great! And it was much-needed because we had company over the weekend so I wanted to get the house back into shape!
My husband cleaned out and vacuumed the car out on Saturday! 🙂
As for the 7 items, I found two upstairs and then went downstairs to the basement and quickly went though a pile which I’ve been needing to address. I quickly got a full garbage bag and the items added up to 28. Since I was going out already I stopped by the thrift shop to get it out of the house. I still have more in the basement to donate but at least that bag is out of my house!

I just saw this today. I am trying to get my life back in order and I think this is really going to help. My husband was out of work for a year. The house got trashed in the mean time. Now that he is back to work, I want to get our house in order. This is a great way to do that!

It’s so easy to say “oh, I just did that recently, so I can skip today”. I was very tempted to skip today, but then I know once I start skipping simple things I’ll skip the hard tasks that really need to be done. So I went back out to the car, pulled out a few pieces of trash, spent a couple of minutes vacuuming, and now I’m washing the baby’s carseat. Thank you, Crystal!

Did this yesterday afternoon! Took advantage of the mid 30’s heatwave LOL. I love having a clean vehicle. Then it got a much needed shower at the car wash 🙂
Crystal Paine says
I cracked up at your 30’s heatwave comment. 🙂

We just cleaned out or van the other day, but we’re going back through it this afternoon to make sure it’s all spic-n-span. 🙂 If you blink, the stuff multiplies! I loved vacuuming the couches on Friday – what a great way to kick off the weekend!

Who says God is not in the details? When I first started this I wanted to be on whole heartily and hoped I would make it… then once the challenges came in, I noticed that they all correlated with what is going on my life.
Last week when we cleaned out the diaper bag and purse was the day before we were going out of town and I had to clean out my diaper bag and purse!
I ended up selling a lamp that we never used from our bedroom before reading that our challenge that day was to clean out the bedroom. Now, today’s challenge with cleaning out the car… I am amazed because that is exactly what I need to do to get ready for yet another out of town trip for an overnight stay. :O
God is in the details. He even encourages through homekeeping!
