I’ve set aside the month of March to really focus on organization in my home and life. And I’d love for you to join me!
Every weekday morning at around 10 a.m. CST, I’ll be posting the day’s assignment and then every evening at around 8 p.m. CST, I’ll be posting my progress and pictures, along with a link-up for you to share your progress and pictures, too.
Day 4 Assignment
::Get dressed in something that makes you feel great {there’s something about dressing in clothes that make you feel great that just gives you more energy and zest for life!}
::Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea, refer to your list of weekly goals, and make a list of no more than 5-7 specific things you want to accomplish today.
::Complete your morning routine {if you don’t have a morning routine, take some time to create one today! Read my How to Develop a Routine That Works–And Stick With It series for step-by-step help.}
::Set the timer for 15 minutes and do a quick-clean of your bathroom. Need specific directions? Read this article on How to Clean Your Bathroom in 15 Minutes.
::Clean out underneath your beds and furniture. Remove clutter and trash and put it away or throw it away. Move the furniture (if possible) and vacuum underneath.
::Find 7 items to get rid of today. Throw them out, stick them in a donate or garage sale box, give them to a friend who can use them, or list them on Craigslist or eBay.
Note: If you work outside the home or have a really busy week with little time for extra projects, just do the bolded project above.

A few days behind but pressing on to catch up. A clean bathroom always feels so nice! Clean wood floors under the sofas, tables, dressers & beds!
My 7 items: 6 bottles of old household cleaner (too many!) & a shower loofa that was falling apart.

I’m loving these challenges! Making me feel fantastic, and ready to have people over to my house at the drop of a hat.

This is really working for me, too! I’m just challenged enough, but not overwhelmed. Really like not knowing what the next assignment will be until you spring it on us. Hee hee. During the “Get Rid of 7 Things” challenge you did last year, I got rid of 300 items of clutter that was dragging me down. After I purged all that, my life took an amazing turn for the better and it’s been upward and onward ever since. Thank you, Crystal!

I have been trying to get rid of 7 things per day and what’s great is I’ve made $15 on things my kids have outgrown (baby and toddler bed blanket set, potty chair, etc.). I didn’t need to make big $ so I put them up on FB cheaply and sold them both in the same day. Felt good to be rid of them, that they went to people that needed them, and that we have $15 of fun money to spend.

7 items: 3 purses, electronic gadget, 2 empty shoe boxes, and a Christmas tabletop decor item!! Each of these items were tiny sources of space-eating negativity in my home…until today! My home is feeling more peaceful for me already..and it’s only day 4!!!! Thank you for making this into a game for me..the challenge is right at my capability level and I’m feeling like a winner each day!

Crystal this has been amazing so far! I am totally in spring cleaning mode. As soon as the daycare kids are gone tonight this will get done. I have already done everything on your lists as well as cleaned out 2 closets and the top of my dresser. I have given or thrown out so much I have lost count. Thank you for this challenge. I needed this. I am going to make a weekly and monthly routine to keep it up!

I am so very grateful that it’s been helpful to you!

I’m in, but for whatever reason, I feel like I’m moving at a snail’s pace. I think my “goals” list of the day was a bit ambitious (and my son needed much more help with math today than normal). Ok, onto the tasks . . .

Getting rid of the clutter has been terrific this week – thanks for the encouragement – I took two big bags to Goodwill last night!

Woohoo! Way to go!
