Hi there, I was just curious about the love notes as well. I was racking my brain trying to think what I would like to express to my husband. I’m not asking for a personal, in depth example – just wondered if you had any inspiring reading material that gave you ideas & suggestions or if you write solely from the heart. I’m staring at my blank page and thinking how it would be nice if I had a prompt to get past that first line. Maybe I should start small…
Love your website, thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your ideas!

My advice: Think of something that you can express appreciation or praise to your spouse about. Also, consider what it would be like to walk in their shoes for a day. Thank them for the burdens they bear, for the efforts they put forth… I rarely run out of ideas when I just focus on these things.

I send my husband emails about 3-4 times a week with inspirational sayings or verses or pictures . In the subject line I always write I love you! The things I send I have not written, so they are not ” personal” but he knows I am thinking of him and this encourages him greatly!

I just finished our latest read aloud with my son today so we need to pick out his next book. I also was able to get all of my goals accomplished this past week. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to do that.

Are you training for a half marathon or full?? that’s a lot of running! 🙂

I’m just working on my speed/distance right now. Hoping to do another 5K soon and then aiming for a 10K next year!

Wow! 10 miles. I can’t wait to work out again…7 more weeks until baby #3 and then the 6 weeks getting back together…13 total until workout time! Ugh! Go, you!!

So I’m curious… do you really write a love note to your husband every single week? Doesn’t that get kind of old? I mean, I’m all for showing our love and appreciation in our marriage, but I’m just wondering how you manage to keep it fresh (without getting too personal, of course) and why you don’t switch it up a bit and do something different than writing a note? (Not to sound critical… I’m just really curious.)

I’m curious, too! Like just a quick post it in his car/lunch? Or a real “love letter”?? It is a very cool idea and I would love to hear your suggestions.

Oh, you’ve got some great books on your list this week! I adored Daring Greatly and Bread and Wine. Curious to hear what you think. (Make sure to share, pretty please?)
Crystal says
I’m really enjoying both of them… though Daring Greatly is totally whiplashing me — in a good way. 🙂
