Can’t wait for that series! My budget bled money this month 🙁

I really need to take yours and another bloggers example and make ‘weekly’ goalsI tend to have all my goals on the one day during the week I normally take off work since I never can seem to. Get things done with the family home on the weekends and then beat myself up when my schedule through the day gets thrown off eventually snow balling into at least an hour of lost time through the course of the day meaning my horrifically long to do lists don’t see 100% completion. Mind you most my stuff is. Chores 😛 I don’t work that many hrs but I swear it’s just enough to keep me constantly behind.
Keep up the good work on your goals.

Congrats on accomplishing so much last week. I start classes this week so I have had to pare down my goals quite a bit. I’m a little nervous because a couple of classes are already proving to be a lot of work!

Way to go on getting your goals done. I was able to tackle all but one of mine from last week.
My daughter loved the Borrowers and Wind in the Willows was another favorite of hers. My wiggy little boy still hasn’t mastered paying attention at read aloud time, so I read mainly picture books to him but we are reading a few of the Winnie the Pooh books this year.

You always write love notes to your husband and I love that but never do that. This week when I read that I decided to finally do that too. I even went back and altered my goals to fit this in. Thanks so much for the inspiration. My husband is important and deserves to be on there just as much as my kids.

Oh yay! I love this — it’s the little things that make a big difference often, isn’t it?

I’d love it if you posted a review or a few thoughts about the ChaLean Extreme program. I’ve been doing Tony Horton’s P90–the baby version–not the P90X–but I haven’t committed to doing his shakes. I just can’t justify the $4 or $5 a shake or whatever it works out to.
Crystal says
If you search online, there are many less expensive alternatives to the P90X shakes.
So far, I’ve been impressed with the ChaLean program. I’m not following the diet because I’m not trying to lose weight. But I enjoy the workouts — and I like that they are shorter than the P90X workouts. Though I think they are less strenuous. However, I’m also in better shape now than I was when I did P90X, so that could make a difference, too.

Just curious, How much time per day do you spend on exercise? I did ChaLean a few months ago and couldn’t imagine adding running in too!
Crystal says
I did about 45 minutes/day last week. But I have scheduled in about an hour. I’m not sure that I can do running + ChaLean everyday, but I’m hoping to run 4-5 times/week and do ChaLean at least 3-4 times/week. We’ll see if that’s doable or not… 🙂

Speaking of recipes, I saw your link to the crock-pot refried beans recipe earlier today, and I think I will actually try making them! Mexican anything is a staple at my house. 🙂 Thanks for the continuous challenges and inspiration. Have a great week!
Crystal says
They are SO easy — you should definitely try them!
Molly says
I saw the same… pinto beans are on my shopping list so I can make these soon. They look so good!!

Great job on your goals last week!! You have inspired me to start reading bigger books to my kids every week. Which book has been a favorite among your kids and you?
Crystal says
Oh, we have SO many favorites! One of our recent most loved books was The Rats of Nimh. We also really enjoyed the Paddington series this year!
Lydia @ Not Afraid of the Snow says
I am excited to read more of your ways of saving money! Always a challenge 🙂 Even when we think we are saving, there is probably something we could do better on.

So great to see your post on setting goals! I just started blogging on homeschooling (I’m a veteran-my daughter is out of college) and my first post was on setting goals! When we began homeschooling, blogging was unheard of, so I have a lot of pent up things to say that I hope will encourage others in this very worthy pursuit.
Blessings and thanks.
