During the month of April, I’m encouraging my readers to participate in a 30-Day House Cleaning Challenge (read more here, if you missed my announcement about this challenge last week). Every week day morning at 9 a.m., I’ll post the daily project and every evening around 6 p.m. EST, I’ll post an update and link-up.
April 22, 2013 Project
Since we took the weekend off, you get to choose your project today! You can either surface clean living room and kitchen, surface clean bathroom(s), or surface clean bedroom(s).
Or, if you have extra time and energy, you can do all three things!
Come back here at 6 p.m. EST and I’ll show you pictures of my cleaning accomplishments for today and have a linky so you can link up yours, too!

I’m surface cleaning the whole house. It just needs it after the weekend. Of course this is in bursts so it won’t be done until sometime this evening.

We had already straightened the kitchen and downstairs bath after school by the time I read this, but I’m definitely tackling the floor in the master bath. It needs major attention as I happened to notice this morning!

Since I made a mess cooking and baking in the kitchen this morning and afternoon, the kitchen clean up is my number one priority today. Thank you for this series, Crystal!

I’ll be heading to the bedrooms. It is amazing how much stuff cluttered up our rooms over the weekend!

With seven people in my home, I am surface cleaning the bathroom daily, and deep cleaning it weekly. I have a article about Cheap & Easy Ways to Clean Your Home.

Hope it helps you all and everyone has a wonderful day!

We’re only a family of 3 but I do the same things with our bathrooms- – to me, nothing feels/looks/is more gross than a dirty bathroom!

I took the impetus from this challenge and cleaned out the car last night. Boy, that was scary! My envirocloth did an amazing job cleaning all the sticky (Icee? Ice cream? Who knows?) from the seats, and I organized all the children’s activity books and car toys for easy access. It felt great, as I’d been putting this project off for, well, since we got the car in 2011 🙂

I need to get my Norwex cloth out and clean my car’s seats. I can only imagine how dirty it will look when I’m done. Thanks for the inspiration — and great job!

Today I have already been wandering around the house tackling minor projects. So far I have cleaned out/organized a bathroom cabinet, surface cleaned the kitchen, thrown the sofa cushion covers and pillows in the washing machine and picked up/changed the sheets in my son’s room. Ironically, all of these tasks fall in line with the projects on the list for the past 3 days! I am super motivated today, so hopefully I’ll get a lot more done as the day progresses.

Yay! I already ‘really’ cleaned the master bath! I also cleaned my van and have finished the laundry! I am spending the rest of today at our ‘babies’ college for her senior honors project. She graduates in 2 1/2 weeks and then all of our kids will have finished college 🙂

I did a quick cleaning of the bathroom and the living room and kitchen before the weekend and they still look fairly good. So I am taking on the bedrooms today. 🙂
