During the month of April, I’m encouraging my readers to participate in a 30-Day House Cleaning Challenge (read more here, if you missed my announcement about this challenge last week). Every week day morning at 9 a.m., I’ll post the daily project and every evening around 6 p.m. EST, I’ll post an update and link-up.
April 19, 2013 Project
Your project for today is to clean your entryway, sweep your garage, and/or vacuum out your car.
Or, if you have extra time and energy, you can do all three things!
Come back here at 6 p.m. EST and I’ll show you pictures of my cleaning accomplishments for today and have a linky so you can link up yours, too!

My husband takes care of keeping the cars and the garage clean so those both look really good. I’ll worked on the entryway today. 🙂

Oh Boy, prepare for some pretty bad “Before” pictures from my entryways! Yikes.

I was feeling quite discouraged the past couple of days. I didn’t think I was keeping up with the challenge.
Then I looked around the house: The kitchen and living room has been cleaned every night before bed, laundry has been put away, and the family has been fed. On top of that, I have spent the last couple of days bailing water from our basement.
I’m not doing too bad. I plan to catch up on the projects I have missed, and at least one of the weekend projects. Have a great weekend!

It sounds like you are doing great — be encouraged!

I think I will vacuum the car it will be a nice and quick project after getting the refrigerator done. 🙂

We got over 5 inches of snow yesterday and today!! Kids are home so I have to do projects around them. Just cleaned out the playroom. Garage will have to wait. Hoping to go through books next.

We have been slowly working on the garage for the past few weekends since we just had some new shelving put in. And I am certainly not going to attempt to do anything with the cars/entryway/porch with the cloud of pine tree pollen that is still ongoing here!
I’ll be continuing on with yesterdays fridge/freezer/pantry cleaning and organizing. All of those things for me are a multi-day project anyway with an inside fridge/freezer, deep freeze and two pantries.

Did the garage and car yesterday so, I think I will stick with the outdoors idea and tackle the patio, rake out the garden and put down some PREEN. Enjoy your day!

I just vacuumed my car out this week so I am going to take on the other two projects today! We have 10 people coming over tomorrow for breakfast so I’m going to be doing a light cleaning of our whole place {at least the downstairs} to get ready for that!
Lana says
We use our shop vac in the garage. Today is a good rainy day to do that!
I ended up with a very clean and now non working refrigerator from yesterday’s project. The fridge in our garage died. It is now empty. Hubby and I finished cleaning it out this morning early and all of that spoiled food is gone. Thankfully today was garbage pickup day and we got it out there early enough to be picked up.
Anyone have any input on keeping home canned foods in a nonworking refrigerator in a non-heated and cooled attached garage? I am thinking that it would be cool and dark but wondered if anyone has done this. I am just getting into canning and bought my first pressure canner last month.

I also was going to recommend using a shop vac! Less dust to swirl around making it a cleaner garage since there is no dust to settle!
