Hire a local personal assistant.
- Done! And I’m so grateful! My new assistant, Ashley, is amazing!
- Launch 2 courses (we’re planning one for spring and one for fall — stay tuned!)
- In March, we did all the filming for the first course, Makeover Your Mornings. We’re currently finishing up post-production and I can’t WAIT to share this with you very soon!
- Launch our new product line (slated to soft launch in the summer).
- Release my third book (slated to come out November 2015).
- I finished copy edits in March and now we’re working on all the graphic design.
Money
Increase last year’s overall giving totals by 10% in 2015.
- Part of my going to South Africa was to investigate the possibility of our family personally supporting the work of Take Action. After coming home, we both felt this was the direction we were supposed to take and our partnership with them will allow us to meet this goal. We’re so thrilled with what God is doing there in South Africa and, for those who have joined us in this through the #TenDollarTribe.
- Finish funding our Rental House #3 Savings Account.
- Yay! We moved from 35% to 44% this past month. So excited to see some significant traction here this month!

March was hard. I had sick kids all month long. Spring break and Easter presented a great opportunity to rest and find margin. I renewed my focus and I’m ready to go!

I continue to be amazed at how much reading you do! I’m embarrassed to admit that one of my 12 goals for 2015 was to read just 15 books! I’m already 9 books in, so I clearly underestimated that goal, but you’re a reading machine!! 🙂
Overall, March wasn’t a great month for my goals. I think the seemingly endless winter had be stuck in a funk in March, when it feels like the winter should be obviously coming to a close! Things are warming and looking up now, though, so I’m ready to get my momentum back! Here’s the link to my goals update: http://www.debtgal.com/2015-goals-check-in-3/

I am hanging in there on my goals. I always bite off way more than I can chew, I need to set a goal for being more realistic I guess LOL. The goals that matter, like living more intentionally with my family, I have been doing well on. I do need to make more progress on my reading, however. I struggle so much here because no matter what time of the day I try to read, I end up with my eyes getting so heavy that I have to stop! Perhaps more sleep should be a goal as well…Overall, I would give myself a B on follow through.

I can’t believe your third book is coming out this fall. It seems like the second one just came out. Where has the time gone?

I love reading your goal updates! They inspire me to keep on track with my own. In March I accomplished one of my goals that seemed far too large to accomplish–starting a blog! Thanks for the inspiration.

I made it through girl scout cookie season (with the 8 year old making her goal). April is all about spring cleaning/decluttering so i can have a yardsale at the end of the month. Our oldest graduates in may so we will probably have a bunch of people in and out.

Someone’s been busy in March! Congratulations on getting so much accomplished. I was able to stay pretty focused on my goals for the year although there isn’t a lot to actually cross off yet. 2015 is more of a work in progress 🙂
Here’s my 2015 goals and we’re we are at. Thanks for allowing us to share.

I did pretty good with my goals for March. My friend asked me to run with her the night of March 31st (after I posted my goal update) and that made me just 1/2 a mile short of where I should be with my 1200 miles ran in 2015 goal. My husband and I totally blew date night BUT we did finally decide where to go on a honeymoon and bought a Costco membership so we can book it (great deals there) . YES after 20 years of marriage we will finally go on a honeymoon in June. Here is my update http://snailpacetransformations.com/goal-update-for-2015/

I’m doing well with most of my goals. The areas I’m struggling in have to do with my health goals and my financial goals. I’m giving myself grace, but also trying to come up with a plan to do better in those two areas.

My New Years Resolution was to develop habits that promote my health. My March goal was to go to bed by 9 pm so I could be up around 5:30. I did well at the beginning of the month but as our move from the Seattle area to the Portland suburbs approached, I wasn’t good about getting to bed earlier.
We moved a little over a year ago within the same town and that was stressful; however, moving to a new state has been even more stressful! I backslid a little on nail biting (January’s habit) and tracking my calories (February’s habit), so I am going to be nice to myself in April. I am not piling on another habit; instead I will work on maintaining those three habits as I start diving into unpacking our new house!
Crystal Paine says
I love your idea to give yourself grace in April. I think that sounds like a great plan!
Emily says
I’m looking forward to hearing more about your Makeover Your Mornings course. I have been curious about the book Lizzy and Jane…I’ll have to look around and see if you recommended it. 🙂
