I noticed you finished Love Idol, I read it a few weeks back, I really liked how she switched from her life to what she sees in her daughters life throughout the book, it really made me think more about how I could help my children with character traits that I know they share with me that can hinder their walk with Christ if not harnessed in the right way.
Crystal Paine says
I was really blessed and challenged by Love Idol!

Didn’t get everything cross off my list last week, but I am so glad I started back with goal setting. It has helped me stay focused, and in the last couple of weeks I’ve accomplished more than I had in a long while. 🙂 So, thank you Crystal, for hosting this link up so faithfully each week!
Crystal Paine says
Way to go in getting back to goal-setting!

Great job on your goals – I’ve got going to bed at 10:30 one of my goals again this week, but am failing miserably! There just seems to be too much to do these days.
Crystal Paine says
I think we can all relate to that feeling at one season or another!

hi Crystal,
I would love to know how you select what movies to watch for a family movie night. I have such a hard time finding much that’s appropriate to watch! Especially with little children…I would love for it to be something encouraging and inspirational, or even just entertaining…but not with all the “garbage”
Thanks!

Our favorite place to check out movie reviews is PluggedIn.com. We’ve found they do a really great job of giving very thorough reviews that are especially helpful for parents in deciding whether a movie is appropriate for your family.

Crystal,
You do a great job with your business! Very focused and intentional.
Last week: balance checkbook and clean office. I got the checkbook balanced and got re-focused laying out a budget for the rest of the year. Even made a finance folder! So excited!!
Cleaning the office got me motivated to balance the checkbook and re-evaluate our finances. Its amazing!
Just started reading a free e-book on clutter. Great book. I like the action steps that are in the book!!
This week: download music CDs to sing with my 8 month old daughter.
Love how you read to your kids in the morning. I experience so much peace when I sit down and read with my daughter.
Do you have posts on what you have experienced reading with your kids over the years?
Crystal Paine says
I’m so impressed and inspired by your intention and accomplishments! Way to go!!
I love reading to my kids and find it so relaxing, too!

I hit on a few major life goals this week. I faced two fears. I finally took my measurements (ouch) and published them for the world to see and I went zip lining!!!
Crystal Paine says
I’m SO proud of you!!!

You’re really talented! The thought of trying to embroider something gives me the heebeejeebees. I sewed a button on my husband’s shirt last week. That’s my kind of sewing. 😉
My goals for this week are pretty simple: Stay sane (my kids seem to be going through a “needy stage”), listen to a Spanish lesson every day, and practice playing piano 15 minutes every day.
(P.S. I hope you do a review of Rhinestone Jesus when you finish it!)

I love your goals to listen to a Spanish lesson and practice the piano for 15 minutes every day! That inspires me!
