I absolutely love this! I saw you post this before, and I tried it, but unfortunately didn’t stick to it. I am REALLY going to try this, and also share your post on my blog as well. Thank you for such a wonderful idea!

I totally agree. A little progress is better than no progress. 🙂 I am glad you are feeling better.

Thank you so much!

I’m back to posting my goals after a few weeks off. Ah, life.
Is anyone else feeling like Christmas came super fast this year? Between traveling abroad in September, starting 2 new jobs as soon as I got home, and such a late Thanksgiving, I’m staring at the calendar like a deer in the headlights!
Pam@behealthybehappywellness says
Accomplishing something is ALWAYS a positive! Hope you are feeling better.
Crystal says
Yes, I am — and I am so very grateful!

One of my goals for next year, is to set goals! I have important, yet vague goals that I haven’t written down so I often forget and lose focus. I need to get out of debt and I’ve made some progress but not as much as I could have.
I will start working on those in the next couple of weeks, and may start practicing too so it doesn’t turn into one of the usual new year’s resolutions that gets forgotten mid-February.
I seem to remember you having a guide for goal-setting. I will search your site for it.
Thank you for always inspiring us.

I’m glad you are feeling better! I loved your Gingerbread House pictures, we will be doing a fun project similar to that this week and the kids are so excited!

I know when I’m sick I don’t get as much done either. I hope your feeling better!

Do you mind me asking if you use a treadmill for your running? If so, do you like it? Do you mind sharing what brand you have? I have GOT to start exercising. 🙁
Crystal says
Yes, I have a treadmill and love it! Jesse bought it for me and it’s been one of the best gifts ever. I’d watch sales in January or check Craigslist to see if you can find a great deal on a used one.

Goals are like a budget. They are meant to be an estimate/guideline at a point in time when establishing them. They are not the end all. Unexpected and non-planned things occur. Adjustments then need to be made. When there is a variance, with goals you readjust them and move forward, while with budgets you explain the variances. Goals are great to have for it gives one some structure, organization, and helps to motivate one to get things done among other things. But on the way to accomplishing ones goals, adjustments will need to be made which is not a bad thing.

I hope you are feeling better this week!
We are having a snow day today…kids are home from work, and hubby is home for half the day…I’m enjoying a slow start to the morning before digging into some cleaning and laundry in a bit.

Absolutely, Crystal. I was sick, too, and just decided to be happy with what I DID get done vs. feeling down about what I didn’t. The thing that really took a back seat with me was my writing. I could push through on a lot of the activities, but I just couldn’t summon much creativity or writing mojo when I was feeling so lousy physically.
Here’s to a better week this week!

Yes some progress is progress. I hope you are all better now. One of my goals this week is to make my daughter and I matching red and white tutu skirts complete with jingle bells for the Santa Hustle 5K that we are doing the end of the week. My son is doing the half marathon that day too but for some reason he didn’t want to match his mom and sister! LOL . I have been looking forward to this race for months. To do a 5k side by side with my daughter and then to see my 17 yr old cross the finish line of his first half marathon! MAJOR parent moment for me. Hopefully we all stay well and weather works for us.

Progress is progress! Your goals are always inspiring. Hope you are back to full strength this week.

Thanks for posting these! It’s a great inspiration to remember to write my own goals down and, better yet, it’s a great reminder that not getting all of your goals accomplished is normal.
