So um, last week? It was sort of a bust when it came to my goals list.
There were some unexpected big things that came up that took a lot of my time and energy and I just had to shelve my plans for what become much more pressing priorities. It was good stuff and it was more important than pretty much anything on my list below, so it was worth it.
But this week? I’m hopeful that I’ll see a bit more progress on my goals. 🙂
Last week’s goals:
Family/Marriage/Mothering Goals

Wow, how serendipitous that I just recently started following your wonderful blog and discovered this today! I’ve started tracking my own weekly goals as well. So far, just the act of putting them online has been very motivational for me — it’s a great idea.
On a side note: this is my very first link-up ever, so hopefully I did it right.

I can understand a busy week. It was so crazy last week, and my classes have so taken over my life, that I didn’t even get to post my goals, let alone accomplish any of them. 🙂
Good luck on your speaking event on Saturday!

I’m getting back on track after being out of the country for a couple of weeks, then jumping headfirst into not 1 but 2 new jobs last week, plus throwing a birthday party for a niece and attending some school functions, all while battling jetlag. Still not quite sure how I made it through!
This week’s focus is being better prepared for these new jobs while making progress on various projects. Meal plans, wardrobe reorganization, working ahead, and a very well documented calendar will be my tools.

Hi Crystal,
You’ve mentioned your embroidery project a few times in your goals list. I was just wondering what your working on? I embroider too and love to see what other people are doing! Sarah

I had a week like that last week too. Crashed and burned on everything because I was putting out more-important fires. Ugh. Hope your week is better this week!

Would you read Bread and Wine already so I can hear how you liked it? (Imagine a giant smiley right here.) I just got to talk with Shauna Niequist last weekend and hear her speak so I’m feeling especially passionate about that one at the moment!
Wishing you a much more normal week!

🙂 How cool that you got to hear Shauna speak and meet her! She seems like such a wonderful woman!

I was just able to score “Leaving Yesterday” by Kathryn Cushman from Paperback Swap looking forward to it arriving.

Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!

I really tried to get all of my goals accomplished from last week and I came so close. But that one goal just eluded me.
I hope this week goes better for you.

I don’t know how you manage to do 10 goals a week. I can only manage 5. Thanks for the inspiration.
Crystal says
Well, I only accomplished two of them this past week, so don’t feel too badly about it. 🙂

I am halfway through Daring Greatly and I so appreciate Brené’s research. Borrowed it from the library and it’s one of those books that I think I’ll buy, too. Even though I feel quite self-aware, this book has been really revealing and is helping me see things in myself I’ve struggled with but have also struggled to define/articulate. Though not a “Christian book,” I feel like this is one the Lord put in my path as He helps me unpack some of my baggage.
ps…I love reading your goals each week. It may seem simple to post them, but you inspire me (and I think your brave to post them)! 🙂 Blessings to you, Crystal!

Yes! Isn’t Daring Greatly so good?!? It’s been messing with me — in a good way. 🙂
