Can I just say that loved meeting so many of you in Pennsylvania last week? You all blessed me so much!
Thank you to each of you who came to my sessions, thank you to each of you who came up and chatted with me afterward, and thank you to each of you for how warm and welcoming you all were to me. I came home so refreshed and filled up by you all!

I am hoping that posting my goals on my blog will help me stick to them.

This might be a little personal and I don’t need the details, but what do you write in your love letters? I barely know what to write in an anniversary or birthday card to my husband!
Crystal says
It varies, but usually it’s just things I’m thankful for or appreciate about him that week. It’s amazing how once you start looking for things to be thankful for, you start seeing them all over the place!

I am working on reading Platform. I was hoping to get a chapter read last week but I didn’t get it done. But already this week I am on chapter three. I am really loving it so far.

Sometimes the goals I set for myself are completely unrealistic. I am a wife, mother of 4, and new “natural” blogger. I would love to make a descent income off of my blog but sometimes it takes me all day to accomplish one goal. I over analyze way too much. SMH. I now know the importance of writing a separate “to do” list for each day so my brain doesn’t scatter all over the place.

I’ve just started looking at your series on Making the Most of Your Mornings, as I’ve realized that’s where I see the majority of my “unproductive” time. And since my 7 month old son is sleeping better through the night now I don’t have any more excuses not to get up earlier! 🙂
Great job on your goals for the week! I always look forward to seeing how everyone does on their goals. Thanks for these weekly linky parties!

I need to add the “get 8.5 – 9 hours of sleep each night” as one of my goals. I did so well when we did the getting up early challenge but have fallen off the wagon, so to speak, the last few weeks!
Good luck with your talk this weekend, Crystal, I’m sure it will go great.
Jamie Rohrbaugh says
Good luck at the conference! I’m sure you’ll be great!
I’ve got two things I’m focusing on this week – health (just got a smartphone for the first time and I’m checking out the fitness apps!), and also I’m taking the class of musicians that I teach to a recording studio to do another spontaneous worship session. I’m so excited!

I appreciate you posting your goals Crystal, they have been a big help in motivating me to set goals. I haven’t figured out yet how you read while you are exercising, maybe it’s listening to audio books? I used to read before bed, but recently started blogging so now before bed is when I write since it’s quiet in the house. I started getting up early before everyone else a few weeks ago, it does make a big difference! I agree with what Victoria said about thinking outside of the box when finding time to homeschool. I’m homeschooling 7 right now, so “fitting it all in” while working at home takes a bit of rethinking things…and planning. 🙂

The title 24/6 interested me so much I had to look it up (by the way your link goes to another book not 24/6). It looks really interesting. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I have also heard a lot about “Start” from various bloggers. Right now I am reading a fiction book by Beverly Lewis called “The Guardian” I am enjoying it. I tend to read nonfiction more than fiction.

My husband and I took on one of your past goals together! We are trying to read the Bible in 90 days. It’s so exciting and difficult at times. But, I think it’s pulling us closer to what’s really important…. a relationship with God.

Ohh. I’ve never heard of reading the bible in 90 days. I think I might add that to my summer list!

Quick question to Crystal or any of the moms. I’ll be homeschooling for the first time next year–a 4th grader and two preschoolers. I also work from home. How do WAHMs juggle homeschooling and working? I’d appreciate any tips!
Victoria says
I wrote a series called “31 Days of Time Saving Tips for the Homeschooling WAHM” which you can find on my blog under the tab “topics” under “homeschooling”. My biggest piece of advice is be flexible and think outside the box. Homeschooling does not have to happen from 9 to 3, Monday to Friday only. Nor does it have to be just 10 months out of the year. Spring break and Christmas break don’t have to be as long either. If you break your school day down into small chunks you should have time for both schooling and work.
Melissa says
Thanks, Victoria! I’ll be digging through your site later tonight!

We’re slowing down on homeschooling, but I’m still planning on continuing my personal reading list through the summer. This past week I finished Wheat Belly and I was blown away by it! Awesome, yet disturbing, book.
