A short while after we were married, I made a comment one day about how I’d love to be able to make waffles. Just a few weeks later, my husband came home with a waffle iron he’d purchased as a surprise for me!
I was elated and I have used my waffle iron over and over and over again since then. We make big batches of waffles for the freezer. We make small batches sometimes for a quick dinner or nicer breakfast.
There are very few kitchen gadgets which I think are truly worth having, but a waffle iron is one I think is so worth it! We love to use it for our favorite waffle recipe or sometimes we branch out and try new recipes.
Nothing beats the taste of a crunchy Belgian Waffle oozing with melted butter and syrup. It’s the perfect treat on a cold day!

You may also be interested in the double waffle iron Sam’s club has. I LOVE waffles too, and their double one allows me to make twice as many in the same amount of time. It makes waffles on each side and rotates like the professional ones you find at hotels. It is awesome! I have also adapted my regular waffle recipe to be gluten free so we enjoy our traditional waffles without gluten dairy or rice. I love them!
